9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody is, rather obviously, an adult movie take-off of Adrian Lyne's 1986 mainstream film 9½ Weeks. The major issue that often pops up when an adult take-off of a mainstream property is made is the loss of the feel of the original property, especially eroticism. Far too often adult movie directors confuse hardcore sex with eroticism even though they are not necessarily mutually inclusive.

The original 9½ Weeks relied on steamy eroticism to drive the film and the characters. David Lord has done an amazing job of recreating the steamy eroticism from the original 9½ Weeks and adding hardcore sex to the mix making 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody a truly worthy adult movie take-off of 9½ Weeks. 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody stays relatively true to the source material and tells the story of businessman Mickey (James Deen) who takes art gallery employee Kim (Summer Brielle) out on a date. The two end up in a whirlwind romance where Mickey pushes Kim's boundaries.

Not all of the credit of how well 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody works can be given to David Lord. The two lead cast members James Deen and Summer Brielle deserve credit as well. They both bring their roles to life on the screen creating vivid three-dimensional characters. They both also bring true sultry eroticism to their sex scenes as well. The result is that 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody works beautifully on all levels.

The technical side of the movie is top notch as well. The movie is beautifully shot with great outdoor locations and a true eye for what the camera is capturing. The result is an adult movie with a mainstream look to it. All in all, 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody is an adult movie that shouldn't be missed. The cast is amazing, the sex scenes melt the screen, the story is well done and the movie looks wonderful. What more does a viewer need?

So often in an adult version of a mainstream film the mood and feel of the original gets lost, especially the eroticism, which is often just traded for hardcore sex. David Lord has done an excellent job of keeping the eroticism from the mainstream film and adding hardcore sex. This reviewer can't recommend 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody highly enough; this is a must see adult movie. Adam & Eve has done an excellent job with their streaming-only edition of 9½ Weeks: An Erotic XXX Parody on Adam & Eve TV with beautiful video and audio quality.
