review from 4/26/2016:
Hope (Brooklyn Lee) is desperate to find her birth parents. Almost broke, homeless and alone, the seedy underbelly of the city offers up a solution that Hope never thought she'd take. Filmed on the streets of San Francisco, the home of the original Behind the Green Door, master director Paul Thomas' sequel explores the dark side of human nature thru the iconic character that Marilyn Chambers etched indelibly into our collective erotic imaginations 40 years ago. review from 8/1/2014:
The New Behind the Green Door is not a remake nor re-imagining of Behind the Green Door. Instead it serves as a sequel to the original film, but seems to ignore the sequel for obvious plot reasons. While the movie is not perfect, Paul Thomas has done a good job creating this sequel that stands as a good movie on its own. [read the full review]

review from 12/31/2013:
Paul Thomas and Vivid recreate an American Classic, the original Behind the Green Door with the legendary Marilyn Chambers. That’s some mighty big shoes to fill but Paul is up to the task with Brooklyn Lee given the reigns of the starring role. This one also features appearances from Penny Pax, Ash Hollywood, Chanel Preston, Brandy Aniston and Bailey Blue, so the female talent is well represented! [read the full review]

review from 4/24/2016:
Adult's greatest title, re-imagined through the eyes of adult's most awarded director, Paul Thomas, and starring Savanna Samson and Belladonna! Featuring six classic anal scenes as scorching as the fires of hell, surrounded by a cautionary tale as old as Satan himself: Young Miss Jones, an aspiring journalist... oblivious to the human carnage she leaves in her wake. Pandora, enjoying the high life in Hollywood. Both have no idea they're being groomed by the devil to spawn the next generation of demons and every one of their shuddering orgasms brings them closer to their hellish fate! [read the full review]

review from 10/11/2011:
This is a very dark, artistic, and impressive feature. BellaDonna does an amazing job in the lead role, both acting and fucking, and the rest of the cast is just as good in their roles. The technical aspects show great care, and there's some nice effort put into the extras. This is an excellent release that's well worth checking out. [read the full review]

review from 5/12/2010:
"The Devil in Miss Jones: The Resurrection" is one of the best adult films that I have ever come across and certainly the best of the eighty or so that I have reviewed for ADT. An instant classic from Paul Thomas and Vivid, this movie focuses on Belladonna as a reporter whose overzealous ambition to get the "big story" ends up pushing her into eternal damnation. In the interest of not giving too much away, let's just say that it is dark, riveting, interesting, and sexually deviant--from the beginning to the end. Featuring the type of twisted content that isn't usually present in Vivid's releases, this disc is absolutely not to be missed. [read the full review]

Faunus'
review from 3/1/2009:
For those of you who have been hiding under a rock for the last month or so, Faithless stars Kelli McCarty, a former Miss USA and day time soaps star of “Passions”. Now, other celebrities have been embarrassed by leaked home made movies (Paris Hilton and Chyna) and there have been porn stars who have managed to become at least semi-respectable in main stream media (Jenna Jameson and Stormy Daniels). What we have is something unique, Kelli McCarty, on her own free will, expressing herself sexually for the camera, career and critics be damned. [read the full review]

Production Date: 4 / 9 / 2002 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Savanna Samson, Taylor St. Claire, Ann Marie, Brittney Skye, Dru Berrymore, Steven St. Croix, Dillion Day, Dale DaBone, Mickey G., and Rafe in sexual roles, and Anton Michael, Honey Haven, Kaiser Sosa, and Shark in non-sex roles The Short Story Initial Expectations: Its been quite a while since Ive watched a Vivid DVD, but due to their attitude I cant get too excited for it. Initial Reaction: It starts fairly slow, but ends up pretty good. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting porn with plenty of plot Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a very soft and luvvy Vivid movie The Technical Stuff Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are pretty good. The audio is clear and well balanced for the most part, but there are a few problems. There are a couple very minor background noises, but more troubling is that there are several points where the audio and video dont synch. [read the full review]

review from 5/27/2017:
The plot thickens for the stunningly gorgeous actress, Racquel Darrian, and her sugar-daddy hubby, Buck Adams, as the film that the latter is financing for the former finds the two driven further and further apart. Of course, Adams' building jealousy and the tantalizing, extramarital temptations that they both face don't help much, either. Such is the case in "Bonnie & Clyde 4: The Revenge of Bonnie and Clyde", the overall-good conclusion to Paul Thomas' and Vivid's series of the mid-1990's. [read the full review]

review from 4/29/2017:
"Bonnie & Clyde 3: The Secrets of Bonnie and Clyde" is the third installment in the mid-90s series of films from Vivid and Paul Thomas that nominally recounts the tale of the infamous duo named in the title. While the first two flicks did just that, this third one in the sequence actually shifts gears a bit, as it focuses in on the fictitious filming of a "Bonnie & Clyde" movie. [read the full review]

review from 11/4/2017:
Stranded in a mysterious, erotically-charged Mexican town after their car breaks down, two cheating lovers (Celeste and Steven St. Croix) find themselves growing further and further apart, despite the atmosphere of seduction and sexual delight that surrounds them. Whether they'll stay together, be driven apart and head back to their respective spouses, or something altogether different remain the questions of the day. Such is the case in "Borderline", an exceptional, 1995 release from Vivid and director Paul Thomas. [read the full review]

review from 10/3/2018:
Bad Wives is an excellent feature film from director Paul Thomas that is one of the modern classics. However, Vivid has done a horrible job with their DVD release of Bad Wives by using what they are calling the director's cut of the film that has excised more of the film then is included on the disc. The result is an absolute hack job that barely even resembles the original film. Vivid promised a Collector's Edition release of the movie with the uncut movie on it over a decade ago that never materialized. Sadly, this reviewer can't recommend this hack job of a modern classic. review from 5/11/2002:
Unfortunately I did not read andyblake's review before purchasing. I had rented the VHS video and it was fantastic 4.5 stars with outstanding scenes from Tricia Devereaux(love the glasses) and Missy. So I had purchased the DVD for a permanent copy expecting better picture and sound. What VIVID did to the DVD is just wrong. To get their multiangle shots they just cut up the scene. None of the angles are the original full scene. Let me keep this simple. DO NOT BUY THE DVD. By all means get the VHS copy, it was great. Message to VIVID You have permanently lost a customer. I will never purchase/rent a VIVID DVD in the future. Multiangle must have the original scene intact on angle 1, other angles can be used if additional footage is available. [read the full review]

review from 2/16/2002:
* DIRECTOR: Paul Thomas. * DURATION: See below. * STARRING: Dyanna Lauren, Melissa Hill, Missy, Stephanie Swift & Tricia Devereaux. Bad Wives is a Vivid feature with an impressive cast, and is also considered a porn classic. Unfortunately, like most classics its not everything its cracked up to be. Disenchanted with their mundane lives, housewives Dyanna and Melissa try something different, but not everything goes to plan thanks to supermarket wild-child Steven St. Croix ... It seemed fairly run-of-the-mill to me more elaborate, well-filmed and well-acted than a normal porn film, but nothing spectacular. In particular, a number of non-sex parts dragged out and I thought the ending was a disappointment (but I wont spoil it). The sex itself was pretty good for Vivid, and there was quite a lot of it; the cast was good too. I thought Id point out andyblakes review, for his warning about the excessive cutting of the movie. I havent seen the VHS version so I cant comment on whats been lost from the original movie, but this might explain why I wasnt tremendously impressed. Something to be aware of at any rate. Overall, I found Bad Wives a fairly mundane feature. [read the full review]

Running Time: 73 min. Production Date: 1993 Director: Paul Thomas Cast: Lene' Hefner, Lacy Rose, Sierra, Brittany O'Connell, Mark Davis, Jon Dough, Nick East, Steven St. Croix Extras: The typical Vivid Wave extras. Previews, bios, 'interactive' sex, and AVN highlights. It's the same extras as the other Wave DVDs. Audio Quality: Average. There are a couple of spots that seem like they may have been dubbed, but it's not overly noticeable. There are also a few places where the sound seems to lose its depth, which probably added to my feeling of parts being dubbed. Video Quality: The picture shows a lot of grain, but I think that comes more from the original than the transfer. Music: The music comes and goes throughout the movie, but since it seems to be on purpose, it isn't too bad. When the music does stop, it seems to be the end of the song and you have some of the sounds of the people. Initial Expectations: Paul Thomas normally does a pretty good porno without much plot but with some average to better than average sex. [read the full review]

review from 3/22/2004:
This is not your typical erotic cinema. Ms. Gere really tries to flex her acting chops, which means as the better actresses go, she qualifies for soap opera work on the networks. It is almost mystifying as to how much drama is instilled over actual fuck scenes. Still, Ms. Gere is so stunning and so cock-hardening, she carries the film. The strap-on scence is not my thing but it gets by. Asia Carrera is underused and it would have been dynamite to have her and Ms. [read the full review]

Masseuse 2 (1994) Studio: Vivid Wave Directed by: Paul Thomas Starring: Ashlyn Gere, Asia Carrera, Leena, Christina West, Steven St. Croix, Randy West, Steve Drake, Tony Tedeschi, and Carl Radford Running Time: 1:28 Format: Double Sided, Single Layer DVD Features: Main menu with full motion video; full motion video chapter selection; profiles of 8 Vivid Girls; photo gallery with 45 photos; 11 random video clips; and trailers for Bad Company, In Defense of Savannah, Endlessly, Masseuse 2, Nymph, Action Sports Sex Vols. 1-3 and Sin-a-Matic Vols. 2-3. The First Word: This second movie in Paul Thomas' Masseuse series emphasizes plot above all else and dares to depict situations not normally shown in porn. But in the end, while it's an interesting drama with credible acting performances, the sex action doesn't live up to the fact that Masseuse 2 is a hardcore adult movie. Plot Synopsis: Masseuse 2 is the story of two massage therapists, Noreen (Ashlyn Gere) and Anita (Asia Carerra) who work in a seedy Los Angeles massage parlor. [read the full review]
