Raw 2: Uncensored (Nasty Pixxx) review summaries:
Sweet Dave's
One of the most informative films Ive seen on the adult industry was Raw 1- Unsensored, and we would only be fortunate if the sequel turned out to be so interesting. The reality is that Raw 2 is quite different from Raw 1, which is very good for those seeking a more stimulating film. Raw 1 showed very little sex, and what was there was often not very stimulating. That is also true of Raw 2, even if it begins very well. Few women have had an impact on the adult industry in such a short period of time as Tera Patrick, whose stunning good look and sharp, witty and intelligent personality puts her ahead of most adult stars by considerable distance. She is a solid star to learn from, even if it is her fire engine scene with Randy Spears thats the most stimulating. The pair ravish one another for quite some time, and with the passion that rivals any of their previous work, unlike much of the dim work of Raw 1. The first scene is spectacular, but it is not alone. [read the full review]

Running Time: 101 min. (cover states approx. 90 min.) Production Date: 7 / 15 / 2001 Director: Jon Yuma and Nic Cramer Cast: Inari Vachs, Bridgette Kerkove, April, Julie Meadows, Silvia Saint, Dru Berrymore, Jessica Drake, Tera Patrick, Rumiko Power, Rachel Moore, Jennifer Andersson, Randy Spears, Evan Stone, Jay Ashley, Tyce Bune, John Decker, Brian Surewood, Dick Nasty, Rafe, and Bruno Sx Initial Expectations: Raw 1 left me rejoicing for the invention known as a fast forward button. Needless to say, that doesnt do much for my expectations here. Initial Reaction: Its better than its predecessor, but still doesnt seem to know quite what it wants to be. Who Should Watch It : Anybody who isnt sure if they want to watch a porno or a behind the scenes feature Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting a lot of information on the making of a porn scene or who wants to see well done porn scenes Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies a little throughout the feature. Raw: Behind the Scenes of Nasty Porn review summaries:
sweet dave's
The first thing that has to be said about Raw #1 is that it isn't a real adult film. Oh, there's plenty of naked women and sex, but this is not a reall film itself. Instead, it shows the process by which adult scenes are put together, and while most scenes are shown in quite some detail, I found it more educational than erotic. I also found it one of the most interesting films I've seen in a while. I have only two general complaints. Firstly, the video quality is terrible as the images are highly pixalated, some scenes worse than others. However, this behind the scene look was not shot with their main cameras but with cheaper extra ones so the diminished video quality can be excused. The second complaint I have is that they never say what films each scene is from. They certainly are not from the same film since they come from dozens of different directions, and the scenes were not just shot for this presentation. I'd like to see the "official" films that this behind the scene look came from. [read the full review]

Running Time: 85 min. Production Date: 8 / 2001 Director: Jon Yuma and Nic Cramer Cast: Taylor St. Clair, Kylie Ireland, Silvia Saint, Misty Rain, Tavalia Griffin, Illona, Randy Spears, Jay Ashley, Dillion Day, Brian Surewood, Dick Nasty, and Chad Thomas Initial Expectations: Jon Yuma and Nic Cramer did some great work in their Ecstasy Girls series. Im hoping for more here! Initial Reaction: Eh. Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting a behind the scenes look at highly artistic sex, complete with the same art direction Who Should Avoid It: Anybody wanting something new, with good technical aspects, or with straightforward scenes Audio /Video Quality: The audio varies from scene to scene. Most of it is pretty good, having nice clarity for the dialogue as well as a good balance. The video also varies, but normally sucks. Some of it has such bad pixelation that I wasnt sure if I was watching new porn or if somebody had piped in an Atari game. [read the full review]

Who Should Watch It : Fans of anal sex and raincoaters Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who doesnt like anal sex Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear, but has a few problems with the balance at times. Its also pretty obviously dubbed in a few places. The video is pretty clear, but does have a bit of grain to it. Theres also a flash or two of garbage that comes up during the feature. Music: The music rests very softly in the background, and has a very soft feel to it. [read the full review]

Running Time: 88 min. Production Date: 8 / 2000 Director: Nic Cramer Cast: Silvia Saint, April, Heather Lynn, Jon Dough, Jay Ashley, Alec Metro, and Dillion Day Initial Expectations: Although he normally has some good art direction, overall Ive had mixed results from Nic Cramer, with most of his features lacking due to wild distortions in the picture. I have some hopes for this one, just because it has both Silvia Saint and April, but not a lot. Initial Reaction: Its one of Mr. Cramers better features. Who Should Watch It : Fans of Nic Cramer and Silvia Saint Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes porn with extremely good technical aspects Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Nic Cramers films, the technical aspects arent what most people are normally used to. The audio is normally well done, but the video can leave a lot to be desired. Its shot on film, so the picture is normally quite grainy. Its also slightly out of proportion much of the time. Im hoping this is another good surprise, since it sounds like it could be a lot of fun, but Im not expecting it. Initial Reaction: Its different from what I expected, but still a good fuck flick Who Should Watch It : Couples and fans of Nic Cramer and Silvia Saint Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who likes really high production values Audio /Video Quality: As with many of Nic Cramers features, this one is in widescreen and is extremely grainy. In most cases it works as some of the art direction, since many of the scenes are fantasy scenes. On the plus side, the colors havent been messed with as in some of Cramers other features. Initial Reaction: Not nearly as good as the original. Audio /Video Quality: As with most of Mr. Cramers movies, Looker 2 is shot on film. Although normally this means the video lacks quite a bit, its not that noticeable here. There is some grain, but its just enough that you notice the grain. There are also many dark scenes, which dont have any more grain than the rest of the movie. For a shot on film movie, the video quality is excellent. The audio quality is also good, but not as good as the video. [read the full review]

Running Time: 83 min. Production Date: Jan. 2000 Director: Nic Cramer Cast: Silvia Saint, Gina Ryder, Dayton Rains, Brooke, Jon Dough, Ian Daniels, Mickey G., Alec Metro, Eric Price, and J. B. Initial Expectations: I havent watched many of Plums DVDs yet, but I have some fairly high expectations after recently watching some of Silvias other work with Nic Cramer. Namely, Looker and Looker 2. Initial Reaction: Lame. Theres virtually no plot and its advertised as a couples movie. The only really good sexes are the ones with Silvia. Audio /Video Quality: I now know what people mean when they refer to Cramer-vision. As I said earlier, Ive seen two of Mr. Cramers other releases, Looker and Looker 2, both of which looked very good. Skin Deep , however, does not. Im assuming that Mr. Cramer is a big fan of Christmas. Its the only reason I can think of for having a red or green tint to every scene in the movie. None of the colors seem real. [read the full review]

Looker review summaries:

Consumed with a case that ultimately led to his father's demise, that of the "Femme Fatale" serial killer, a police detective (Vince Voyeur) finds himself slipping further and further into the bottle...and obsession. Helping him make sense of it all--and generally concerned for him--is his trustworthy and stunningly beautiful partner, Shanna McCullough, who's ready to stick by him until the end. Of course, just how that "end" will end up is the driving force of the film and remains entirely up in the air. Such is the case in "Looker", a very good, 1998 release from Pleasure and director Nic Cramer. [read the full review]
