CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings 17 (147 min.) Featuring: Maria de Sanchez, Zinai, Lulu, Diana, Irina, Andrea, and Katalyn Synopsis: It's the seventeenth volume of the Woodman-directed casting series. Overall: The Castings series is a hit or a miss. In this case, it's a hit. I am glad to see actual scenes other than photo shoots. Out of the entire DVD, Diana's exclusive scene is the best. DVD Quality: Since the castings vary by date, some are better than others. But, taken together, it is average. Extras: The photos within the biography menus have been reduced by number, but they still give you a sample of the photo sets from the original magazines. Likes: Diana and Andrea Dislikes: Irina and Katalyn SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Maria de Sanchez was a superstar in Europe, but never quite made it to the the other side of the Atlantic. She has the trademark Spanish look with her curly brown hair and tanned body. Maria tells Woodman how much of a fiend she tells him she has slept with over a hundred men. A very good, Old West themed flick from Joe D'Amato and Sin City (1998), this one features far more sucking and fucking than plot, but it does make it to the point where Siffredi and his gang are on their way to take on the bad-guys. The sets, setting, costuming, and grit all feel authentic, and the cheesy English overdubs (presumably from the original Italian) only add to the spaghetti western flavor. Further, the sex is hot--with plenty of anal--and so are the actresses. Rocco e i magnifici 7 Century If I was to suggest the whimsical western music that features throughout Rocco e I Magnifici 7 is actually more memorable than any of the action it accompanies, that might just give an indication of the quality of this spaghetti western. This really is a poor movie, blighted by dire direction, abysmal acting, desperate dubbing and execrable editing. The good It starts misleadingly well, with a montage of sepia-toned wanted posters introducing the cast, but when you notice that the number 7 has been somehow left off the title thats right, they have got the main title of the movie wrong - one gets the distinct impression that someone doesnt really care that much. So without further adieu... Expectations How could my expectations be anything less than stellar? Here we have a Dorcel DVD with Anita Dark as the main star. That has classic written all over it! Capsule Review This is an excellent movie. It is beautifully filmed, it stars gorgeous women, the sets and wardrobes are lavish, and the plot barely gets in the way! What else could you ask for? Loosely, the plot revolves around a rich guy who loves to sniff girl's soiled panties. Each scene has a little of this voyeur guy snatching up panties and sniffing them. Technical As is true for virtually all of the Dorcel releases, the video, audio, and lighting are wonderful. This is a little older than some of the releases and so I have judged it accordingly.
