Porn has finally come full circle and, with apparently little else to parody, has now opted to parody itself. Of course, the result is decidedly awful (...shocking...). Such is the case in "NOT Traci Lords XXX: '80s Superstars Reborn", a subpar, 2016 release from X-Play and Will Ryder that focuses on the (underage) Traci Lords scandal and its general time-frame.

This is a good release that never seems to fully live up to its idea of modern stars posing as classic porn stars. There's some solid nostalgia here, but the story is light, the wigs are a bit too cheesy, and the abundance of ink really killed the thought of the cast being classic stars. The technical aspects do show nice care and there's some good effort put into the behind the scenes featurette to help the extras. This is a good rental.

Will Ryder is back with this parody of 80s porn. He channels some of the classic stars from the era like Ginger Lynn, Amber Lynn and Christy Canyon with some of todays porn girls. The newbies include Carter Cruise, Cameron Dee, Angelina Chung, Mia Austin, Zoey Monroe and Lucy Tyler in the title role of Traci Lords.
