A young, rich woman goes missing, and it falls to a low-rent private investigator, Johnny Wadd (played by the legendary John Holmes), to find and ultimately save her from the clutches of a down and dirty, no good kidnapper. Of course, along the way, subterfuge, chicanery, and greed are all served up in spades...as is a strong side of fucking. Such is the case in "Johnny Wadd", a decent, 1973 release from VCX and director Bob Chinn.

Johnny Wadd, the first film in the Johnny Wadd series, is not one of the truly amazing adult films that came out of the 70s, but it is a fun low budget quickie. The plot and acting are lacking, but the sex scenes are solid.

All my old movies mags state that “Johnny Wadd” is to John Homes as James Bond is to Shawn Connery, but for years I have never been able to verify this analogy. Over the last several months, VCX has been re-releasing movie after movie from its vault of Golden Age classics. I eagerly unwrapped the plastic and shoved it into my player and…came away with mixed feelings.
