The first thing anyone with any observational skills whatsover will note is that Van Styles is experimenting. He opts to step back a bit in Barely Legal: Corrupted 6 and shoot the action from afar at times, peering around potted plants, stanchions and other assorted obstacles giving his latest an intentionally voyueristic feel. There is still plenty of action presented in his usual gonzo-friendly fashion, but the addition of an atypical approach for Styles adds an interesting John Leslie-esque wrinkle, shows growth on his part and bravery to try new things. The never-proactive and normally reserved Michelle Maylene is more giving to her partner Kurt Lockwood than I have ever previously seen her with anyone.

Two related things stand out about this movie. I think Van Styles is using a different camera than in previous movies I've watched because the exposure took me by surprise. The other is that while some people accuse Van Styles of emulating Jules Jordan, this movie is an homage to John Leslie. The only problem is that John Leslie's style of shooting drives me completely bonkers. The other similarity is shooting into the light. Now I've never seen Van Styles do this intentionally before but he does rely on natural lighting to light the scene.

Hustlers Barely Legal Corrupted #6 features some hot girls but, unfortunately, is ruined by terrible camera work, bad lighting, and less than enthusiastic performances. Weve all seen (in order of appearance) Michelle Maylene, Georgia Peach, Leah Luv, Bailey, and Charlotte Stokely engage in volcanic sex. They are, for the most part, experienced porn stars who know how to suck and fuck and dramatically raise the temperature of a room. Hard to say why their performances here are lukewarm, at best. Georgia, Leah, and Bailey take anal poundings. All the girls take facials. Leah gets DPed. So whats missing? Possibly some direction from the director, who seems more concerned with demonstrating all the unique angles from which to shoot the sex rather than the action itself. He employs that most annoying technique of shooting the sex from around corners (like a voyeur) or from behind plant leaves. And the lighting produces a white-out effect way too often.

Well fans time for a little barely legal porn and who better to give it to us than Hustler and director Van Styles. This might be my first exposure to his work, I've met the man a couple of times and last trip out to Cali I got to watch firsthand as he shot a scene with Velicity Von-- WOW was that a lot of fun. One thing I notice here that was also apparant when I watched him work he uses natural light meaning the room is not lit up with porn lights as you normally see but it's bathed instead in mother nature's own light so there are times when you'll see a whole lot of white behind the performers but I didn't find it that distracting. I also noticed that Van didn't talk at all besides some during the tease segment and the scene pretty much went from there.

Prologue In his return to Hustler, Van Styles gets right back to his "corrupted" version of the Barely Legal series. Kind of like the relationship between The Dark Knight and the long running Batman comic franchise. More layered and better. The young women here are Charlotte Stokely, Michelle Maylene, Georgia Peach, Leah Luv and Bailey. I know what to expect from the last three, and it's all good. The first two will provide me with some mystery. I'm sure they'll be fucked good, though. In a departure from Van Styles' normal SOP, there is no tease. Kurt Lockwood is snuggling up to Michelle Maylene against the stove in the kitchen. A gorgeous Asian, Michelle has what resembles a flame print two piece on and Kurt quickly removes the top to play with her small, but perfect breasts. He has her get to her knees for the obligatory bj and Michelle seems happy with what she finds in his pants.
