As some reviewers have noted about other volumes in this series, the actresses who possess naturally large racks are rarely the sort who would qualify as supermodels. This isnt necessarily a bad thing, depending on your point of view, but if you are picky about the appearance of the women in your porn, you may want to pass on this movie, and on the entire series. With that said, Clark has assembled a cast of cute, enthusiastic ladies, and he and Manuel Ferrara find a way to bring out the best in them. We open with Miss Erotica 2002 Jane Darling, who joins her friend Daria in strolling onto a tourist boat tethered to a dock in Prague. The two find Clark onboard at the bar, and allow him to explore and grope their bodies while they smoke.

Then I remembered how he went through a phase in 1999-2000 in which he had less attractive casts and some uninspired scenes. He seemed to rebound strongly from the beginning of 2001, and since then has cranked out very good movies on a regular basis. He set a high standard, and then exceeded it with most of the scenes in two of his most recent releases, Beautiful Girls 3 and Hardball 15. Now, with Beautiful Girls 4, he has topped himself yet again. We open promisingly as Clark follows three nicely dressed women around the streets of Budapest.

It is shot at THAT house in Budapest, the same one seen in EVERY movie. Surprise surprise, out on the lawn Jennifer Red is being photographed by Jean-Michel, the same guy who shoots stills for EVERY director in Budapest (he even gets to have sex on camera now and then, for example in Bitches 2). So we know right away this movie won't be giving us anything new. Even Jennifer Red isn't new, she's been making movies since 1996 (her casting with Woodman is from August of that year), though she looks better than ever, and has grown into her body and sexiness.

Review brief: Euro Angels Hardball 4 Released 5/20/99 DVD released late 2001 Directed by Christoph Clark Evil Angel DVD Cast : Nikki Anderson, Cassandra Wild, Daniella Rush, Sasha, Eva, Ivana, Remigo, David Perry, Alberto Rey, Richard Lengin, Christian (aka Steve Holmes), Hatman, and Christoph Clark I first saw this on VHS just after it was released, and I have fond memories of Sashas moments. Back then, almost three years ago now, I wasnt as familiar with Clarks body of work, and couldnt put this in its proper context. Now I understand that the Hardball line was created to show more fetish trappings and give a hint of a plot to the basic Euro Angels scenarios of Czech and Hungarian beauties getting their asses plundered. The DVD itself was a literal eye-opener, as it begins with some of the most garish, obnoxious menus I have ever seen. They will certainly wake you up, but left me with a renewed appreciation of how good the usual Evil Angel menus are.

Review brief: Directed by Christoph Clark Released on DVD 6/2001 (on VHS circa 1997) Cast: Alison, Miluse, Eva, DominikaBaumanova, Lucie, Michaela, Sylvie (aka Sylvia Saint), Mishi, Kris Newz, Jean-Yves LeCastel, John Walton, Christoph Clark The Gaia series was Private's attempt to shed some of their hardcore, Euro-anal-fucking image, and collect a piece of the couples' market. This was the first movie in the Gaia line, and the concept was quickly considered a failure, so much so that by the final Gaia movie (#6 Profession: Porn Actress) Clark had already reverted to his usual boyz get their rocks off formula. What this and its successors have in common with Clark's The Perversion of Barbara and the Laure Sinclair movies he shot for Marc Dorcel is that all show his early style. In the mid-90's Clark, perhaps at the request of his producers, shot fast paced movies, with up to 8 separate scenes in 90 minutes. The focus was on showing pretty women, and the action was usually anal.
