An instantaneous moment- Stacy tears her dress down, startling the viewer from out of the feature and it's all frenzied fucking from there. Under closer scrutiny I realized it wasn't necessarily on account of the performers but had more to do with the overall package. With its speedy mecha music and schizophrenic camera movements, the scene succeeds in drawing out the illusion of energy. So many feature films put a cap on the heat due to tight, constrained shots- here the camera is fluid, in fact more fluid than your average gonzo, and the net result is something exciting, something heart-pounding.
