Review brief: Private doesn't have too many studs they build a whole movie around so I was interested in why Ryan Ryder??? After some research I found that he was actually a pop singing star in the UK, appearing on television, recording cds, and appearing on stage in musicals with his very nice voice. That career wasn't doing it for him so he went into porn...and so did his wife who is also in one of the scenes of this dvd. The sex is good but nothing off the scale erotic or unusual. This one might appeal to the ladies. This dvd is explained by Ryan in one scene as a "documentary" as he is followed around by the camera. It's obviously scripted but try to buy into the fantasy please....

Review brief: Private Gold's Intimate Studio (or "Intim Studio" as the title card says) is a British based production with British accented and mostly tatted cast. Nice spotlight on different cast as Private seems to be usually more German based lately and had a past of more Eastern European. Storyline focuses on a photographer who has many eager couples who want to have pics taken of them having sex. In an alternate universe that sounds like a great career so it's a good fantasy set up. The cast looks happy and having fun.

Review brief: Camerawork is stellar in this movie, not only the sex but capturing the beautiful countryside and European villa it was filmed at. The plot is just enough to make it a story, albeit unbelievable but that's the fantasy of it I guess. Dialog is ridiculously hard to understand and it probably would have been better just to watch the French or Spanish version as the English sounds like greek but at least they tried. Great job Bobby Peru.

Anyhow, the scenes are a mixed bag of tricks. There is some music through a few scenes but I wouldn't say it is punk rock. A few of the hair styles are short on the ladies, but that is about all the punk I saw. All include anal except the final only bj scene. I think I spotted a condom, too. Private with condoms? Hmm.

It would have been nice to know which movies these scenes came from for further viewing.

Review brief: After recently reviewing Wild Sex Resort, I had the strange feeling of deja vu with this dvd "Leny's Hardcore Angels." Maybe it's because the opening voiceover was the same on both movies, the cast is the same, and the locale is the same! This seems to be the way that Private/Magik View is cranking out more movies for less money...they have filmed several on a cruise ship using similar cast members and this "Magic Island" series looks like the same scenario. What it amounts to is that Leny is rich, he has opened his own island sex paradise, and invites his friends to enjoy it. It's mostly one on one sex, very photogenic, although lacking a bit in originality after watching this first installment.

Review brief: The German Magik View tries to keep the Private brand alive with this entry. Although I wouldn't hold it up to the Private stellar entries of the past, it's a good attempt at some dp action with some of the Private babes that made the label famous like Miss Aletta Ocean. My main complaint is the music throughout most of the movie, but you can always turn that down and watch the eye candy....The director could have used more imagination with the costuming...it's supposed to be a Halloween party but most of the guys are either police or doctors! Honey Demon as a chef wins the costume award as well as a great scene on a staircase.

Review brief: With the financial problems Private is currently having I was wondering if my favorite studio would be able to overcome it all. Apparently they are outsourcing to a German company called Magik View Entertainment. Director Ettore Buchi does a good job keeping the Private brand alive. It's kind of weird seeing a German address on a Private production but they did "sehr gut." The story of Smuggling Sexpedition is about an Aegean Sea area group of artifact smugglers. Why not? Area scenery is beautiful and provides a good backdrop for the sex.

Camera work is ok but as usual multiple fucks going on at the same time are not easy to capture. Perhaps Private's Euro camera team should have shown up as some of the angles aren't that inspired.

Review brief: Taking over the reins of Private's Audition series isn't an easy task following in the footsteps of Ribas and Woodman. George Uhl is a recognizable Private stud who is a good actor but I'm not sure he has the creativity or know-how to carry the series. The director (or camera man) did a lot of the talking at least at the beginning of the movie giving George direction. Stud Kamil Klein appears with George in four of the scenes (why?). I guess I am used to the solo appearing camera work of the previous auditon series and the "audtioner" being a little more certain of what they are looking for and getting it on camera for the first time as the director. I enjoyed the movie, but like I said it isn't easy to follow in the footsteps of what was done before.

Review brief: Five fetish oriented scenes plus one bonus scene from director Dave Naz, who apparently is related to Max Factor of makeup fame and also does still erotic photography (I found that out on a google search). Dave uses his camera eye and makeup genes well as this dvd is very exxxcelent entertainment. The fetish/bondage aspect is suspenseful and it is edited in a way that the sex that follows flows well and is very intense. The women are typical Private hotties and even some of the overused studs rise to the Private moniker and were awesome. I like Private's European focus, but they better watch out since the Americans might take over!

Review brief: Eight scenes resurrected from Private archives. Maybe this was originally on VHS video as the production date on the dvd says July of 2000? The scenes open with Private casting director Pierre Woodman interviewing the future Private models in a hotel bedroom. He talks to most of them through an interpretor, and even though there is an English language option on the dvd, most of the interviews are in a foreign tongue and untranslated, so not too interesting. After two of the interviews, Woodman personally fucks the women. The other six scenes feature excerpts from the models' Private debuts.
