Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings 18 (136 min.) Featuring: Nikki, Sharon Ash, Su Ann, Yanna, Nicolette, Ildico, and Natasha Storm Synopsis: It's the eighteenth volume of the Woodman-directed casting series. Overall: Volume 18 has its fair of hits like Nicolette, Ildico, and Natasha Storm. But, it also has its share of misses like Su Ann and Yanna. DVD Quality: It is average. Out of all the castings volumes I have seen, there is a problem with the timing of the subtitles. Extras: The photos within the biography menus have been reduced by number, but they still give you a sample of the photo sets from the original magazines. Likes: Nicolette, Ildico, and Natasha Storm Dislikes: Yanna, Nikki, and Su Ann SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Nicolette goes through the abridged casting interview without the usual, intrusive questioning by Woodman. She peruses the porn magazine and only objects to double penetrations, but that's going to change if she wants to be in the magazine.

Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings 17 (147 min.) Featuring: Maria de Sanchez, Zinai, Lulu, Diana, Irina, Andrea, and Katalyn Synopsis: It's the seventeenth volume of the Woodman-directed casting series. Overall: The Castings series is a hit or a miss. In this case, it's a hit. I am glad to see actual scenes other than photo shoots. Out of the entire DVD, Diana's exclusive scene is the best. DVD Quality: Since the castings vary by date, some are better than others. But, taken together, it is average. Extras: The photos within the biography menus have been reduced by number, but they still give you a sample of the photo sets from the original magazines. Likes: Diana and Andrea Dislikes: Irina and Katalyn SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Maria de Sanchez was a superstar in Europe, but never quite made it to the the other side of the Atlantic. She has the trademark Spanish look with her curly brown hair and tanned body. Maria tells Woodman how much of a fiend she tells him she has slept with over a hundred men. Her pussy can back that claim up because it isn't elastic.

Featuring: Angelica, Aya, Cassandra Wild, Judith Fox, Meridian, Michaela Lee, Monique Covet, Nikki Blond, Olivia de Treville, Stephani Steel, Tavalia Griffin, and Wanda Curtis Synopsis: It's the compilation for Woodman's Castings! Overall: It shouldn't be a surprise that this compilation would not be interesting considering that on the whole, the Castings series is below average. DVD Quality: It rivals the same quality as other Woodman Castings. Extras: There are two extra casting scenes starring Eva and Demia Moore. They are okay, but nothing to scream about. Likes: Wanda Curtis Dislikes: Monique Covet and Nikki Blond SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Meridian is shot of being spectacular. Fabs if Shyla or fals who like that "barbie" look will probably go ga-ga for Meridian. The interview is like all the others: it starts with questions and finally the woman shows off her goods. Her scene is from the fetish Pirate series. If it weren't for the strobe, frame-by-frame effect, it would have been a great scene.

Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings 16 (136 min.) Featuring: China Moon, Deborah, Maria, Ilana, Natacha, Nicolette, Yelena Schiffer, Yolanda, and Erika Synopsis: It's the 16th volume of Pierre Woodman's Casting series. Overall: By their very nature, casting call sessions are of low production quality and there isn't glitz or glamour. If you have been disappointed with prior Castings, then Castings 16 will be a breath of fresh air. Natacha and Marie are by far the best-looking out of the bunch and they are very sexual! Yelena Schiffer's scene could bring a reaction of distaste as Woodman firmly urgers her to have sex with him, but then again it could be "play-acting" as was the case with Eva Roberts' scene in one of the earlier castings. DVD Quality: It rivals the same quality as other Woodman Castings. Extras: Within some of the cast profiles are photosets from Private's famous magazines.

Featuring: Anita, Clarisse, Dailany, Elysa Mell, Mona Lisa, Roxanne Hall, and Victoria Synopsis: It's the 15th volume of Pierre Woodman's Casting series. Overall: Anita and Mona Lisa make this DVD worth watching. For those interested in Roxanne Hall, the interview shows how she was like before her porn status hit right through the roof. DVD Quality: It rivals the same quality as other Woodman Castings. In some cases, there is an echo effect, especially in some of the photo shoots. Extras: Within some of the cast profiles are photosets from Private's famous magazines. Likes: Anita and Mona Lisa Dislikes: Victoria SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Mona Lisa is a towering red-headed Hungarian with an extremely immaculate body. She is firm everywhere! Pierre Woodman goes through his routine of showing her his porn magazines, asking her sexual questions, and asking her to undress and twirl for the camera. Private wisely chooses to include her Private Stories performance, her best ever.

Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings X 13 (120 min.) Featuring: Regina, Kim Bsg, Monique Demoan, Manon, Monica, Elke, Christina, Aiya Synopsis: It's another Woodman casting. Overall: Like the previous volumes, there are always a mix of beautiful women with not so attractive ones. In this volume, Regina and Monica, make this DVD worth a look. DVD Quality: The video quality is average and the sound quality varies from scene to scene. In some of the scenes, there is a noticeable echo effect that is annoying. Extras: The central piece of the extras are the photo sets of the women embedded in their profiles. Likes: Regina, Monica, and Aiya Dislikes: Kim Bsg SEX HIGHLIGHTS: The first scene starts very interesting because the Hungarian interpreter is on the speaker phone so he can ask Regina questions from Pierre Woodman.

Overall: Although Castings X 14 doesn't have the castings of the major Private powerhouses, it is one of the better volumes in the series. Although Victoria only did one photo shoot for Private, I could tell that she had what it took to become a major force if she didn't return to obscurity. DVD Quality: The video quality is good, but the sound quality varies from scene to scene. Extras: The central piece of the extras are the photo sets of the women embedded in their profiles. Likes: Victoria Dislikes: Pearl SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Francoise the Russian comes from the same genetic stalk as the retired French Oceane.

Overall: Castings X 12 improves upon the positive trend started by Castings X 10. Even when Woodman doesn't "convince" women like Linda to join the porn industry, he still enjoys videotaping her rear end when she is posing for him on all fours! Mercedes's scene deserves much attention because what she admits is almost too good to be true! DVD Quality: The video quality is good, but some of the audio has that annoying echo effect.

Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Nordic Debutantes 5 ( 128 min.) Featuring: Aya, Marella, Ingrid Swede, Synnoeve, Barbie, and Mariana Synopsis: It's the fifth volume from the Nordic Debutantes line. Overall: Nordic Debutantes 5 has its moments, but it may not satisfy viewers' appetites if they are lusting for most of the scenes to be filled with gorgeous women having sloppy sex. Only one woman, Synnoeve, best matches that description. Her scene makes this DVD worthy of recognition. DVD Quality: It's above VHS-quality. Extras: None. Likes: Synnoeve and her black lingerie! Dislikes: Aya, Ingrid Swede, and Barbie SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Marella is a spunky crop-haired blonde nymph tends to her three restaurant guests.

Overall: The 10th volume of the series is so far the best one since the women are attractive. It still follows the same formula, but the quality of women has increased from the prior volumes. DVD Quality: The video quality is at best below average. Extras: The Pierre Woodman interview is slightly informative and explains why he uses the same male talent. He uses the same male talent because he trusts them in compromising situations, especially when they are in a country where it may be forbidden to make a porno movie. The other reason is that he doesn't want to introduce some "new blood" into his circle because it may lead to a STD.

Their performances weren't extraordinary and I just cannot understand why they made it and Monica did not. Monica breathes life into the DVD. In fact, she is what saves it from being total garbage. Review brief: CAPSULE'S REVIEW Castings X 1 (122 min.) Featuring: Agnes, Julia Chanel, Blondie, Angela, Alona, Mame Yong, Inna Synopsis: This is the first volume in the Castings X series. Overall: It's not worth it because the majority of the women aren't attractive. In some scenes, Pierre doesn't even have sex with them and so there are edited clips of Private hardcore photo sessions. DVD Quality: The audio/video quality is bad. Extras: Besides the photo gallery, the extras are sub par. Likes: Inna, Agnes, Blondie Dislikes: Julia Chanel SEX HIGHLIGHTS: Inna tries to look older by making her hair more sophisticated, but instead her hair is freaky looking. Her face is attractive and her body is tight. Her eyes make her very unique. As with all Pierre Woodman castings, he lets the prospective candidate look at the hardcore magazines that Private produces. When she looks at the magazines, she gives a look of disgust mixed in with surprise. He uses salesmen tactics saying that there are plenty of women who only do softcore and he wants her to form her own opinion about porn.

Overall: Except for Sophie Evan's scene, the DVD is average at best. There are other Private DVDs that have better looking women. DVD Quality: Private continues to up the ante on production quality even on their non-feature DVDs. The sex scenes all have great settings and good lighting. Extras: This lacks "The Report" extras scene in Private features so the main part of the extras is the standard photo gallery. . .Private style.
