"Xtreme Measures" is an all-sex gonzo romp from DVSX and director Mark Gold. I've never heard of him, but I've pretty much liked what I've seen so far from DVSX and this one has the incredible Taylor Rain on the cover, whom I've always had a soft spot (or rather a "hard" one) for. Many of the DVSX discs I've seen, particularly from directors like Guy Capo, tend to be vignette-based gonzo movies where the action is set up a little bit before the fun begins. This one is no different but I had a hard time detecting a common theme to the vignettes.

Scene 1: Cameron Cain + Naudia Nyce and a guy

Naudia works in a clothing store and Cameron's shopping there. After a couple minutes of some painfully forced "acting" they somehow decide to get down to some Lesbian lovin' right there in the store. Cameron's a blonde I've only ever seen in DVSX stuff and Naudia's a petite exotic-looking brunette who resembles the great porn star Belladonna. Cameron puts on a large strap-on and fucks Naudia doggy-style on the floor.

Soon a guy shows up. How is this supposed to fit into the story? Forget it, there was no story to begin with. Naudia, then Cameron, suck him off up against a clothing rack in the store. He fucks Cameron in missionary while she continues to make out with Naudia. Naudia gets some anal on the floor in missionary before getting a weak shot plastered on her face which Cameron pretends to be interested in.

Scene 2: Lil' Bit More and two guys

Lil' Bit More is a pretty awful name for a pretty cute porn starlet. She's a petite blonde girl who is cute with a shaved pussy. I guess she's supposed to be a stripper or something; she starts out teasing us on a stripper pole. Then, completely inexplicably, she's in a sort of Safari-themed room getting banged by two black guys in expedition gear. What the hell does this have to do with her stripping? Lil' Bit remains almost completely silent throughout this porn scene, as do the guys. There's nothing exciting going on here, in my opinion. They bang away at her in almost complete silence boringly. O.K., here is the reason a lot of people will buy this movie, because the insanely attractive Taylor Rain (credited as "Taylor Raine" in the film; nice job, guys) is on the cover. Her vignette is that she's being chased by some mysterious guy in black through a parking lot and up some stairs onto a roof. Why is she being chased? Who knows. Taylor looks cute in a ripped-up denim mini-skirt sucking on a lollipop. Eventually the guy finds her on the roof and they kiss and get to fucking. Why do they kiss each other lovingly if Taylor was supposed to be scared of this burglar-looking guy thirty seconds ago? I'm just going to stop asking questions now.

The guy turns out to be Mark Davis, who looks pretty funny in his black burglar's outfit. Taylor submissively kneels on the roof and sucks his cock. They move to a bed on the roof and Mark roughly fucks Taylor's face. She gets pretty messy and covered in her own drool, if you are into that. "Xtreme Measures" was decidedly below-average for a 2005 gonzo porn release. There was nothing particularly exciting about the film at all, apart from the female cast. The vignettes or set-ups for the movie were paper thin at best and laughable at times. I didn't really think Mark Gold did a spectacular job behind the camera either. The camera angles were bad, and the action was simply not captured very well; there were way too many close-ups, for example.

I really do not like how a lot of DVSX movies look, either. Most of the scenes just do not look very good; the colors are pale and appear too washed out on screen. Colors in DVSX films just do not "pop" and are not as vibrant as a company like Red Light District. Taylor Rain's skin tone, for example, is very bland and pale here because of bad lighting. The action in their movies is pretty good, I just wish that they could do something to improve their video quality.

Because of all these limitations, I can't really comfortably recommend "Xtreme Measures." If you are a big fan of Taylor Rain, you might want to give it a rental. Her scene was definitely the best of the bunch. The movie as a whole really didn't do a lot for me though. The camera work was bad and unexciting, the audio and video quality of the disc left a lot to be desired, the acting and weak "plots" were pretty bad, and the sex was almost uniformly bland, unfortunately. Not the best effort from our friends at DVSX I'm afraid.
