The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects are handled pretty well. There’s no audio from the performers, which leaves the music to provide the entire auditory experience. The video is nicely done. There’s just a hint of grain here and there to give things a slightly artistic feeling, and the action is nicely lit. This is a very good looking movie.

Music: The music is nicely done, and has a fun and original feel to it. It’s good enough that I could listen to it without hot chicks getting busy, but unfortunately it’s the only audio in the movie.

Menus: The main menu is a decent blend of a little animation with a still. The chapter menu is very generic, and just lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

X-Vision 1 captures a series of unrelated sex scenes. The closest it comes to connecting the scenes is that the girls play around water in the opening of each scene. In a nice touch, each scene starts out identifying the lovely ladies in the scene.

Scene 1 - Jamie Brooks, Lauren Phoenix, and Mark Davis

Jamie, a hot blonde with her hair in pigtails, starts things out walking out of a house to join Lauren, who just drove up, while licking a popsicle. This is an extremely hot scene except for one thing, the audio. Jamie and Lauren are both known for providing intense scenes, and they both look to be in top form here. They’re both completely intense and look like they’re having the time of their life. Unfortunately, with all audio from them being thrown out it really guts the scene and holds it back. Watching it you can really see that everybody’s really into everybody else, but not being able to hear it really holds it back.

Scene 2 - Shy Love and Van Damage

With the audio this could have been a hot scene, but I just couldn’t get into it here.

Scene 4 - Trinity, Samantha Ryan, and Anthony Hardwood

The initial tease and lesbian portion of the scene goes on a bit long, but it’s pretty obvious that there’s some great chemistry brewing between the girls. There’s plenty of smiles when Anthony joins in, and they never feel faked. I love the cumswapping ending, and more than anything I really wish I could have heard these girls. This is a pretty good scene that would have been a lot hotter with a little tighter opening and real audio.

Scene 5 - Aria and Lee Stone

Brunette Aria starts the final scene out in a blue bikini playing with the sprayer on a hose by a pool. They still build up plenty of heat, but nowhere near as much as they might have with real audio.

X-Vision 1 is a pretty darn impressive release for a new company. The scenes all feature hot women who look like they enjoy sex, and the scenes are nicely captured from a few angles and edited together in a very pleasing way. Lauren Phoenix and Jamie Brooks definitely started things out on a high note, and although almost all of the scenes were very well done, I don’t think anybody really kept up to them. Unfortunately, the scenes were all held back by the audio. There are some features that can make music-only adult movies work, and although I think David Edwards has a lot of talent, this wasn’t one of them. Every scene felt restrained by the lack of audio, and every one left me wondering how much hotter it would be if you could hear the performers. Thankfully, X-Worx has been honestly looking for feedback in their releases (the ‘honestly looking’ part being something way too few companies do), and the lack of performer audio is a very common complaint. It’s something they say they’re going to change in future releases, and I can’t wait to see what they can do there! X-Vision 1 is one of X-Worx first releases, and if they can keep putting out releases with the heat they’ve shown here, they’re definitely going to be a company worth keeping an eye on.

The Extra Stuff

A good portion of Audrey Hollander’s scene from Ass Fanatics with Benjamin Brat and Otto Bauer is included. It runs over seventeen minutes, and when it runs that long and then ends without showing the rest of the scene I was more than a little ticked off. There’s good teases and there’s bad ones, and this one definitely fell into the bad tease category for me.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of X-Worx DVDs can be found online for between about $18 and $25 with several stores offering them near the low end. If you don’t care about hearing the performers, this one’s easily worth the low end, but if you want to hear them this one might be a better rental. The sex is hot and the video is nicely done, but the lack of audio definitely held the movie back for me. There’s a bit of effort put into the extras, but they just didn’t work out for me because they only included part of one scene. This is a hot movie on a DVD that shows promise for future releases.

Note to X-Worx: I can’t wait to see what you do when you let use hear the performers! I also hope that you include full bonus scenes in future releases rather than just annoying teases.
