Initial Expectations: Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection banner has been a very good sign of a well done DVD and feature, which is what I expect here.

Initial Reaction: It’s a fairly average feature but a very well done DVD.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is clear but some of it is a little too low to be easily heard. The video is excellent and in anamorphic widescreen. Yes, somebody actually cares enough to do a widescreen feature right. There are a few times when the focus seems a little off, but that’s about the only problem with the video.

Music: Once again, the music is done by Saint, which is always a big plus to me. Saint has a very definite style which is extremely sexy and can be very diverse.

Menus: The menus are simple but have some nice clips of the feature worked into them. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on the scene number and a small clip of the scene. It also allows you to jump directly to the pop shot in the scene.

The Feature: Steve Drake has set up the World Cultural Center, where people can come to experience the best from all around the world. He has hand picked what he feels is the best woman from each country and brought them here as representatives. The only one he’s not sure about is Little Jody, a harpist from England who longs for love and recognition.

Syren starts things off with a bath to refresh herself after her long journey from India. Her servant, Dale DaBone, gets things ready for her and undresses her before she slides into the tub. In the tub she works herself over with large flowers, rubbing them across her body and giving some special attention to her pussy. Victoria starts out as the focus of the others, with Bamboo working on her upper body and Shay working on her pierced clit and pussy. It’s an okay scene, but doesn’t build up too much of anything.

Promoter Steve Drake dreams about getting to know Hick, a good looking brunette with a natural body, and Daniella Rush, who’s supposed to be from Romania but doesn’t look anything like it, late at night as the girls dance. If he knew Dee’s prowess with this beforehand I’d think that he might have even thrown the duel to get to it all the quicker. It starts out as a little different scene by using a sixty nine for all of the foreplay, but doesn’t really have anything different or attention getting after that. Women of the World has a nice setup, but seems confused on where to go with it. It seems to want to tell a love story about Little Jody, who’s left by the man she desires only to find another. Instead it falls into almost a raincoater feature where each country gets their own sex scene. Unfortunately, that setup fails also since the only one that seems to have any bearing is the first scene. Unfortunately by halfway through the movie, I couldn’t really find myself caring too much Syren ends up as the only girl here who really stands out, and ironically isn’t even listed on the cover. Little Jody also does a good job, but the rest of the scenes are average at best. Travel past the Women of the World.

Extras: Many of the standard extras are included as well as several new ones. Even some of the standard extras you’ve come to expect have been redone in a much nicer way. Trailers are included for A Devil’s Tail, Beauty & The Bitch, Naked Hollywood 1, Hot Spot, and After Midnight.

The photo gallery includes twenty snapshots that are set up in a thumbnail format between several screens. As you see a photo you’d like to see, you can select it and view it in a full screen snapshot format. It’s a great way to do a photo gallery.

There’s also Adam & Eve’s Sex Reel, which lasts about twelve minutes. It’s a collection of clips from many of Adam & Eve’s movies. Unfortunately there isn’t anything there that lets you know where the clips come from, so when you see the stunning Tina Tyler you won’t know what movie the segment comes from to check out the rest of the scene.

Two bonus scenes are included. The first is a twelve minute scene that comes from The Third Eye with Inari Vachs and Adriana Sage. Inari starts things off sucking on Adriana’s pussy as she sits on the bar in front of her and gives her some nice finger action also. The second bonus scene lasts about ten and a half minutes and comes from Naked Hollywood 2: Lust of Love and stars Dee and a guy I don’t really recognize but looks a little like T. J. Cummings. Unlike most star bios, the bios here are handled as interviews with each star telling about themselves. Shay Sweet, Evan Stone, Dale DaBone, and Syren are all included here with interviews that last for about three minutes for Shay up to almost sixteen minutes for Evan. Dale and Syren also take quite a bit of time, clocking in at twelve and ten minutes respectively. Each bio is really nice. The stars talk about how they got into the industry, how their name came about, their favorite people to work with, and what they hope to do after they leave the adult film world. They also talk about their hobbies and outside life. It’s a great way to learn about the stars since you get to see some of the star’s personality while learning about them rather than just reading about them and seeing their photos.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost twenty minutes. It nicely mixes together short interviews with many of the stars with footage of the scenes being shot and the cast messing around between shoots. You also get to see two of the funniest guys in porn, namely Evan Stone and Anthony Crane, playing off each other, and not in the sexual way. It’s all done very well but unfortunately barely anybody in the cast is identified so you don’t have any clue who any new people are. It’s still a very good behind the scenes, but with a little effort it could have been a lot more friendly.

Overall: As with most of Adam & Eve’s Premium Collection titles, I expect Women of the World to be available online for between $15 and $25 with quite a few stores offering it for under $20. If this one interests you, either rent it first or pick it up at the lower end. The DVD as a whole is very well done, with a great anamorphic transfer and very good extras, but the feature is only a little above average.

Note to Adam & Eve: You’re doing a really great job on your extras lately. I hope you can keep up this type of quality on your overall DVDs.
