A Woman's Promise is an all-girl feature film by co-writer, along with Maddy Barton, and director Ricky Greenwood. Unlike Ricky Greenwood's previous all-girl feature films for Sweetheart Video, A Woman's Promise has escaped quietly onto the market with little fanfare — which seems odd to this reviewer since A Woman's Promise is just as good as Ricky Greenwood's previous movies.

The story for A Woman's Promise revolves around Ivy (Ivy Wolfe). The cops catch Ivy in the backseat of a car with the prom queen. Ivy's parents can't deal with Ivy being a lesbian, so she is sent to A Woman's Promise, a conversion therapy center run by Magdalene (Magdalene St. Michaels) to cure her of her desires for other women. At A Woman's Promise, Ivy is given Carter (Carter Cruise) as a roommate and soon discovers that Carter is the only woman who wants to be at the center. Ivy's defiance of accepting that there is anything wrong with her desires for women starts to cause waves at A Woman's Promise.

First and foremost, Ivy Wolfe absolutely nails the pivotal role of Ivy in A Woman's Promise. The part of Ivy was essential for A Woman's Promise to work, and Ivy Wolfe did an excellent job of bringing out her character. Carter Cruise is also excellent as Ivy's roommate Carter. The rest of the facilities inhabitants are made up of Abigail Mac, playing Abigail, Sabina Rouge, playing Paige, Lyra Law, playing Lyra, and Zoey Taylor, playing Zoey. All of these actresses provide the color that brings A Woman's Promise.

All of the sex scenes in A Woman's Promise are sensual and beautiful to watch. All of the actresses in the movie do an excellent job with their sexual performances. The actresses bring high intensity to the sex scenes and all of the sex scenes look natural.

The sex scenes, along with the rest of the movie, are beautifully captured by the cameras. As with Ricky Greenwood's previous features for Sweetheart Video, A Woman's Promise has a beautiful cinematic look that makes the movie great to watch. Ricky Greenwood is also excellent at including extra shots to great the plotted portions and make them as crucial to the movie as the sex scenes. As viewers have come to expect from Ricky Greenwood's feature movies, the sets and locations used are excellent and fit the movie perfectly.

A Woman's Promise may not have had the media blitz that Ricky Greenwood's previous Sweetheart Video movies have had; however, A Woman's Promise is just as great as Ricky Greenwood's previous all-girl movies and should be essential viewing for fans of feature films.

Sweetheart Video has done an excellent job with their DVD release of A Woman's Promise. A Woman's Promise was shot digitally and is presented in the anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1 in 480p. The image quality is beautiful with no noticeable defects or issues. The colors in the movie are vibrant and beautiful.

A Woman's Promise is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo audio track. The sound quality, like the image quality, is beautiful with clear and easy to understand dialog and no noticeable issues.

Sweetheart Video has included a couple of extras on the disc. There is an 11-minute behind the scenes featurette which focuses on talking to the actresses about their sex scenes. There is also a photo gallery included on the disc.

As with Ricky Greenwood's previous all-girl feature movies for Sweetheart Video, A Woman's Promise is another home run. The movie combines an enjoyable story, with some great acting, and sensual sex scenes. A Woman's Promise is beautifully shot and shouldn't be missed by fans of feature films. Sweetheart Video has done an excellent job with their DVD release of A Woman's Promise with excellent image and sound quality.
