Wild Oats is what can best be described as an all-sex gay movie from writer and director Toby Ross. Wild Oats has a brief set-up at the beginning of the movie where a bunch of inner-city barely legal men get out of New York City and out to a cabin in the woods. That is where any semblance of the story ends, and the essentially wall-to-wall sex scenes start.

There is a little bit of dialog at the opening of the movie — when the inner city barely legal men are arriving at their country getaway — and during the last scene in the movie. The rest of the movie is all music, so don't expect much for dialog before, during, or after the sex scenes.

The sex scenes themselves look, to be honest, somewhat generic. Each one has a little non-sexual footage, set to music, to lead the viewer into the scene, which is then followed by the actual sex scene. There is nothing that stood out in any of the sex scenes that the viewer noticed. There wasn't anything that overly stood out about the setting where the scenes take place either.

Honestly, there isn't a whole lot to draw viewers into this movie. The movie offers viewers twink sex scenes, but there isn't anything in this movie that you can't see somewhere else done better. Wild Oats is an easy movie to skip.

The edition of Wild Oats screened is the streaming-only edition available at TobyRoss.com. Toby Ross and Big Dik Factory (BDF) have done an acceptable job with their streaming-only edition of Wild Oats. Wild Oats was shot on videotape, and this reviewer suspects that a VHS or Beta tape was used as the master for this release. This release is better than some video sourced releases and worse than others. Wild Oats is presented in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1 which is pillarboxed to an anamorphic widescreen aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The image has glitches and haloing. The definition for the image is on the soft side, and the colors in the movie are generally decent. There is a TobyRoss.com bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Wild Oats is presented with what appears to be an English Stereo audio track although it may be a monaural audio track. There is limited dialog in the movie; however, the dialog that does exist is clear and easy to understand.

Toby Ross and BDF haven't included any extras for their streaming-only edition of Wild Oats.

Wild Oats is, honestly, a disappointing movie from Toby Ross. Wild Oats is, for all intents and purposes, an all sex movie that suffers from being a generic product from the video age of adult entertainment. Wild Oats doesn't offer the viewer anything special or unique and blends in with every other product being cheaply and quickly churned out at the time. Toby Ross and BDF have done an adequate job with their streaming-only edition of Wild Oats with acceptable video quality and good sound quality.
