The Abridged Version: Peter North does what he does and keeps doing it. He stopped being relevant to me a long time ago. His products moved from being genuinely hot to being filler with the occasional monster load briefly exciting. Recently, he seemed to cut away from New Sensations and started distributing his own product under his company Northstar Associates. He hired away director Craven Moorehead from Celestial Productions and got quick to work on new lines with names like “First Offense” and “Maximum Thrust.” Here, Craven is throwing the companies hat into the trendy black guy on white girl genre with “White Chicks Getting Black Balled” (2004). Unfortunately, this is not an extremely impressive debut to a series. It is plagued with inconsistency and apparent disinterest, with one scene attempting a storyline and thus becoming a vignette while the next just gets straight to the sex. Cover girls Eva and Tina give a valiant try at a scene with Sean Michaels, but the choice to place it inside a mock hull of a jet plane dooms it from the start. Sophia, though bearing unfortunate bolt-ons, turns in a characteristically nasty scene that mysteriously lacks heat. Aspen Stevens displays her heavenly chest and genuinely moans her way through a solid scene, though one would hope that she ups her intensity as she gets more experience. Shawnie’s scene is rather solid but the finale with Vanessa is pretty much crap. Part of my problem with North has been his gradual transition from working with primarily American talent and occasionally European talent to working primarily with European talent and occasionally with American talent. This tape doesn’t quite follow that trend though, but we do get one Euro girl, Vanessa, and her scene sucks. But what keeps people coming back to North are the monster loads he unleashes on his women. However, this is an interracial video so North can’t pop in here as a performer to save any scenes. As such, there is nothing here to distinguish it from the all ready over saturated IR market. This may not be an actual Peter North tape. He is only credited as Executive Producer. But it comes from a company bearing his name and is sold in a box that features his name in large print at the top of the front cover. It ends up matching the quality of his recent product. That quality? Utterly average.

Scene 1: Eva Angelina (brunette cover girl) and Tina (blonde cover girl) w/Sean Michaels (20 minutes)

Eva, who started in porn as a college student just trying a scene in an installment of Shane’s World’s “College Invasion” for fun, is paired with Tina and Sean for all ready the second time in her young career. Here, they don’t even bother to do a storyline. It just opens with Shawnie, wearing a lime green bikini top, on a black leather couch. The Verdict: Peter North is not obsolete. He’s just obsolete to me. And Northstar is disappointingly exactly the same. I am sure there is a market for this by the numbers filler with a rather nice cast, but it isn’t something I would buy.

Rent it or Buy It: Rent it. Eva, Aspen, and Shawnie are nice to see. However, their best work is not represented here, but this is also far from their worst work.

The DVD: The main menu, with edited footage playing on the left while the rest of the screen is covered by a red lava lamp like background, is nice. And the DVD is solid from a technical standpoint. However, there are little to no extras.
