Audio /Video Quality:
The technical aspects are fantastic, and every bit as solid as one gets in a mainstream movie. The audio is clear and very well balanced without anything close to a background noise. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks fantastic. There's great care put into the lighting, which as a dark look that fits the movie perfectly. There's also a very clear picture and fantastic cinematography to round out a presentation that makes Wetwork look, sound, and feel just like something coming out of Hollywood.
Watermark Warning:
The usual Vivid watermark in the lower right corner. It's small, fairly tasteful (if a watermark can be such a thing), and stays stationary making it easy to put out of mind. Although I can't say that I like to see watermarks, if a company feels that's what they have to do in order to protect their product I hope they can keep them as tasteful as Vivid does here.
The Movie:
Steven St. Croix is getting tired and looking towards retirement. The only thing that really stands in his way is that he's an assassin, and living through retirement is more than a challenge in his profession. When he takes one last mission with a target of Penny Pax, things quickly get complicated and he finds retirement looking a little further away.

Wetwork is easily one of the best features to come out of 2014, as well as the last few years. Eli Cross hasn't stepped out to direct many features over the last few years, and he's definitely showing himself to still be interested in quality over quantity. I first watched Wetwork during the time crunch of AVN Awards voting, and watched it again when I had more time to write this review. I can honestly say that not only did I enjoy Wetwork every bit as much the second time, but I might have even enjoyed it more as I picked up little details through the movie. Not only is Wetwork well written, but visually it's every bit as solid as most Hollywood action flicks. The camera work, lighting, and cinematography are all top notch, and fit the movie perfectly. The acting is every bit as solid, with both Steven St. Croix and Penny Pax completely nailing their roles along with a very solid supporting cast. There's a great pace to the story, and well done action scene and fight sequences to help out the plot portion of the movie. Sexually, Wetwork is just as good. There's a rough edge to the sex that works perfectly for the characters, and it's very well captured. There's some nice anal action mixed in throughout the movie with each of the ladies giving up the ass nicely. Those wanting a half-assed story, forced acting, and camerawork where the person isn't sure what they should focus on during sex are definitely going to want to stay away from this one, as Wetwork is not only porn with a brain, but porn with a soul as well. Wetwork is a fantastic adult feature that shows just how much potential adult entertainment can have.
The Extras:
Trailers are included for four other Vivid releases. The photo gallery lasts about five minutes. There's also a behind the scenes featurette, cumshot recaps, and the usual Vivid extras.
The behind the scenes featurette lasts about twenty six minutes. Eli Cross starts things out working with the cast and extras for the art gallery scene, and leaves no doubt as to his attention to detail. They move through a few more locations with Eli working with the cast as well as working in a few comments with the cast and crew. The featurette moves around very nicely to show the cast working together on their lines and hanging out, as well as things like the fight choreography and production design. About the only thing you don't get here is sex footage, but with how well the featurette is done I didn't come close to missing it. This is an excellent featurette and a great addition to the overall release.

This is a utterly fantastic feature that's easily one of the best movies to come out of 2014 and well worth the purchase.
