Voracious (Evil Angel) Review

Let me state for the record, I essentially cannot watch porn anymore. I love watching women’s bodies on and off camera, but because of my busy lifestyle and one that is currently sexually active, I cannot view extensive porn or passive entertainment with the same comfort or tolerance I used to. I cannot watch people have sex. It dulls my spirit. However… It’s always been in me to watch porn during the harsh American winter months when I cannot travel much. Now with the 2020 Covid19 pandemic, I have been reduced to sitting at home, working out at home, etc. Also, I’ve had a blatant curiosity to see some feature films.

I’ve always been curious to see John “Buttman” stagliano’s feature films/shows, such as the Voracious series, Fashionistas: Safado and Consent (I will be reviewing these and these only, real soon). So, this is the only and possibly very, very last time I will see anything pornographic that doesn’t involve my own personal sex life. Also, these films are also feature films that has a storyline to it, which piques my curiosity and can influence a person’s own sense of vibes and artistry.

Voracious has the concept of a television show series, with an intense, pornographic sexuality and artistic twists. Like most storytellers and filmmakers, there are trademarks. In Voracious, John Stagliano adds his usual trademarks, which are immense shots and video captures of women’s butts. Add in lots of energetic, athletic and sadistic sex laced with body acrobatics, sensuality, S&M and masochistic or sadistic elements. It’s like The Fashionistas, Buda and Jake Malone’s Fuck Slaves series meets True Blood, American Horror Story, Ghost, A Chinese Ghost Story series (minus the supernatural, sci-fi elements) and Def By Temptation – all rolled up in one.

The Camerawork and artistry in this series differs and the artistry of each individual episode differs. This is the kind of artistry that’s enough to make Hong Kong filmmaker Wong Kar Wai shudder in disbelief or deep influence. The camera, lightening and picture for each scene is very dark and resembles the likes of Underworld, Van Helsing, Hellboy, The Godfather trilogy or an awful copy of Wong Kar Wai’s Happy Together (before The Criterion Collection recently touched it up for a Blu-Ray release). But it’s not hard to make things out – you’d just have to pay close attention and keep your eyes open! (A friend of mine told me he couldn’t stomach watching Underworld, because the projector and picture was way too dark and urged me not to see it. I’m no fan of horror movies, but while “Voracious” has the same picture quality, on purpose, it works here.)

While I did enjoy the hell out of the first season of Voracious very much and never thought “Buttman” had it in him to do something like this, I felt starlets like Annie Cruz, Dana Vespoli, Shyla Stylez (RIP), Careena Collins or Nikita Denise should have been in here, or season two. Based on MY view of things, they would have been great in this series! But I also never thought I would see Brooklyn Lee being portrayed like this. It’s as if she gave her all in here and was almost at her most orgasmic peak. Inexplicably, Brooklyn Lee always looked like she’s ready to cry, sounding like she was being abused and pushed past her boiling point and shit!

Voracious (season one) tells the story about a guy seeing a house for sale/rent and gets more than what he bargains for, when he encounters two female vampires who initially set him up, but flip the script and endures lots of crazy sex and body acrobatics (you don’t have many people in real life who can bend themselves like pretzels to the extent these women can, unless they are masters at yoga). Then, there’s other women whom are hookers, turning into vampires and blood slaves. going around the streets of L.A., Berlin and Budapest, getting the evil fucked out of them by male vampires and even an exorcist. We see some real twisted shit up in here, such as crucifixion-cross shaped dildos going in women’s asses, or being used to turn “sluts” into “saints”, or something along those lines. At one point, one of those things get stuck up Brooklyn Lee’s ass along with some kind of “holy water” and she goes into a complete state of hysterics, screaming and shaking as violently as she can and believe me, I ain’t never heard no shit like that in all of my extensive porn viewing! The main female stars up in here are Brooklyn Lee, Lea Lexis (who co-directs season two) and Sandra Romain. Then there’s several badass European chicks with heavy accents and butts so big, pure and full of goosebumps, it made me feel like I was watching Buda again. Only there were no tight, hugging-ass fishnet bodysuits being worn on super-big booties and no cheesy, goofy-ass acting.

Without getting into a detailed review about each specific scene, it’s more than fair for me to say Season One of Voracious has a little bit of everything in it, without it being too extreme… yet! Something tells me the more extremities will be saved for Season Two (an extended season). While it’s a tale of vampires and blood slaves, you hardly see any blood. But much of the female cast has teeth like vampires, then there’s astonishing outfits that the females wear far too well, (again) body acrobatics, lots of anal sex, the use of blacklight and neon body gear with body painting being used, heavy accents, crucifixion-cross shaped dildos, hairpins, Rocco fucking chicks in the ass as hard as humanly possible like he used to do Kelly Stafford, lots of booty shots in various positions, a bit of slow motion and jerky camera work, sudden added film grain being overused, moderate religious themes, motorcycles, spandex ripping, unfabricated shots of women’s butts and assholes, facesitting, sloppy oral sex, choking, Brooklyn Lee acting like a dramatic mental patient slapping the shit out of herself, crying and looking ever so pitiful while she orgasms – and, it all ends with a sensual lovemaking scene between Brooklyn Lee and Manuel Ferrara.

I’ve noticed something about John Stagliano’s feature films, whereas they are all crazy, chaotic and disturbing, but it all ends with passionate lovemaking sex scenes. The same thing happened in Buttman Condifential, the first Fashionistas, Buda, Face Dance Obsession and now this here. Something tells me Season Two of Voracious won't end the same.

We also see some familiar male faces who were probably inactive in porn since the late 1990s or early 2000s – those faces were rampant in Buda, Buttman’s Rolling Cheeks and some of those 20+ old Christoph Clark videos.

S1 EP7: “You’re Gonna Bring Another Whore Into This Clan?”
My favorite episode deals with various types of camera work and styles, not to mention, blacklight, neon lingerie, neon glow in the dark body paint and occasional film grain.

S1 EP2: “Now You Are a Blood Slave”
These two Euro girls in here are fire as fuck! The one in the aqua blue spandex is just too adorable and got the kinda “real” butt that I love, with Euro meat, goosebumps and the likes. This shit almost reminded me of Furious Fuckers: Final Race

S1 EP3: “Fuckin’ White American Trash”
Brooklyn Lee and Sandra Romain both showed out in this scene here. Brooklyn Lee lost her mind, just like she did in the rest of this show!

S1 EP9: “Who Is This Guy?”

S1 EP10: “Es Ist Vollbracht!”

Again, whether Brooklyn Lee is exaggerating or not, she is extremely orgasmic to the point to where is can scare the shit out of some dudes, and anti-sex feminists like Gail Dine who’ll assume this chick is really being abused!

This fully-loaded DVD Box Set consists of the season being shown on 2 DVDs. The 3rd DVD is loaded with extras, including over 90 minutes of BTS and commentary (including photos from when John Stagliano was a Chippendale in 1981), bloopers, a huge photo gallery for every episode, extra sex for the first 2 episodes a booklet with additional commentary and notes, plus a soundtrack CD for the musical score. There’s 6 trailers, including trailers for The Fashionistas films, Buttman Focused 2, etc. The downside is that the filmographies are not complete. Looking at the filmographies, you say to yourself "Now, they know they've been in way more Evil Angel videos than that! Why don't they just call it a selected filmography, or not do it at all?

In conclusion, if you purchased this without seeing it first or glancing at screenshots, you don’t be disappointed. Again, I’m not avid porn watcher anymore and haven’t touched any porn in about 3 years. If I decided to have an extremely small collection of only 5 adult DVDs, this would be one of them. That’s just how remarkable this is. As much as I wanna say I liked this better than the first Fashionistas (which I saw way back in 2004 and didn't bother reviewing it, as there are way too many reviews for it here), I’m iffy on going that far. But still, John Stagliano had raw vision in here just like he did for one of the best-selling and award-winning adult features of all time and hell, it worked. I just innately know Season Two will be even more wicked than this right here!
