Audio /Video Quality: The audio is bordering on excellent. The only thing that holds it back is a couple spots with minor background noises such as a phone ringing and somebody walking nearby. The walking was barely noticeable, but the phone was very noticeable and seemed to go on for a bit. The video is much the same. It’s near flawless with the only problems being the extras are slightly grainy. Other than that, the video is next to perfect.

Menus: The menus are basically integrated into the actual feature.

The Feature: Ever since she was with Seymore Butts, brunette bombshell Taylor Hayes has been getting a lot of attention and has had a dedicated fan base. This makes her seem like a natural pick for Digital Playground’s Virtual Sex with... series. Taylor has a cute face, a body to die for, implanted tits that actually look mostly real, and a mouth that won’t quit (in the good way).

The standard selections are all here for Taylor’s virtual sex experience. You can warm her up with your finger, a vibe, or your tongue, or have Taylor gobble your knob. You also have the choice of fucking her between missionary, doggie, and standard and reverse cowgirl. In each setting you can choose to have Taylor innocent or nasty as well as viewing it from one of two angles (either a close-up or a side view), and decide when either Taylor (in foreplay) or you (in sex) are going to pop. In each case, the segments last between about a minute and a quarter and two and three quarter minutes with most segments lasting about two minutes. Although this might not seem like much, it seemed about right to me. Some of them were getting to start to feel a bit long, and ended just before they actually did.

Of course, there’s orgasms too, which was always the biggest complaint people seemed to have about virtual sex simulators. Due to the nature of this type of DVD, real pop shots aren’t always too feasible, so simulated pops were normally used to begin with. Thankfully, Digital Playground has pretty much dropped that here. Yes, there are fake pop shots in the cowgirl positions, but the rest of them are all real in all their sticky and slimy goodness, including the one that Taylor takes between her face and tits during the blowjob without batting an eye. Each pop sequence lasts between twenty and forty seconds, with the majority of them lasting about thirty seconds. Once again, this seems almost like a perfect length.

Virtual Sex with Taylor Hayes may be close, but it’s not quite perfect. First, and this is purely a personal thing, I don’t care for the black background. I think it makes the feature much colder than it could be. I’m willing to go with this for a while since Digital Playground apparently has some new technology that this is going to work very well with and they’ve been moving towards it since they first started this original virtual sex series. They obviously seem to have some vision for the future with sex and technology, and I hope we can see it more in the near future.

Second, and this is a very common problem and my biggest one with all virtual sex simulators, is the loops. They feel like loops. Here, when the end of the loop is reached things went a bit fuzzy and froze for a second or two before the loop restarted. This might have been a problem with my player, but it did interfere some with my enjoyment. I’m pretty sure that everybody has their favorite position to watch, and some people will want to just watch that position loop. I don’t really want to know when the start and end of each loop is. I just want to watch it go. I know that there’s going to be a sharp transition when I change positions, but I don’t think it should be so sharp within the same position. Like I said, though, this is a common problem with almost all virtual sex simulators, and Digital Playground handles it much better here than I’ve seen in the majority of simulators. It’s not too noticeable, and without the pause and fuzz at the end of the loop it would have probably been even less so. This is also a problem that seems to be disappearing over time as companies get more used to and further develop the technology. It’s also one that when I look at how far Digital Playground has come between Virtual Sex with Jenna and here, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve solved in their current titles.

Virtual Sex with Taylor Hayes is easily one of the best virtual sex simulators I’ve seen so far. The interface is easy to use and the camera gets right where you normally want it. Taylor does a great job leading throughout the feature, looking great as well as very enthusiastic. There’s even real pop shots most of the time. About the only bad things are that I don’t care for the black screen background, the lack of anal sex (especially since Taylor used to be quite the anal queen) and the scenes don’t flow like in real sex scenes, which is a common problem among virtual sex simulators and one that’s barely getting moved by right now. If you’re a fan of virtual sex or Taylor Hayes, Virtual Sex with Taylor Hayes should be on your must buy list.

Extras: Taylor starts things off with a strip tease lasting just over three minutes. You don’t get any multiple angles here, but the camera moves around her very nicely. Taylor also does a great job of talking through it, which really makes it work.

Taylor also tells you a couple of her wildest sex stories. The story is done as a voice-over as Taylor dances a bit in front of a blue screen with flames on it. She talks about getting caught publicly in Europe and having sex with a cop. It’s nicely done and gives a nice little taste of Taylor sexually.

There’s also a few trailers as you start the DVD. This borders on one of my biggest pet peeves, but at least Digital Playground has the decency to allow you to skip them and get to what you really want.

Overall: Currently, Virtual Sex With Taylor Hayes can be found online for between $24 and $32 with a couple stores at the lower end. I’m not a huge virtual sex fan, but this is easily one of the best I’ve seen. Taylor does a great job leading it and puts some great energy into her performance. The technical aspects have a couple minor faults, but they’re also bordering on excellent. The only thing that’s really missing are a few extras.

Note to Digital Playground: I can see why this one was so highly acclaimed when it came out. It looks like you did a great job with the technology of the time and even pushed it a bit. The only thing that really seems to be missing here are a few more extras, such as maybe a behind the scenes featurette.
