Vanessa is an 8mm adult film loop from 1981 that was released by Command Cinema. Adult film loops were typically shot on 16mm film and then distributed to movie booth arcades and home viewers on 8mm film strips. Vanessa was shot on 35mm film, though. Instead of being your typical adult film loop, Vanessa is an excerpt from Henri Pachard's 1979 film Babylon Pink. When Vanessa was initially distributed as an 8mm loop, it went by the name Vanessa's Hottest Fantasy (loop number unknown).

Vanessa's set-up is that a woman (Vanessa Del Rio) peers down from her apartment window at a man (Dave Ruby) browsing at a market below. As she peers, she starts fantasizing about the man, showing up in her apartment, and, without a word, having his way with her.

This scene with Vanessa Del Rio and David Ruby was a good scene from Babylon Pink to use for a loop since the scene works well as a stand-alone piece, not needing any of the rest of the film to be enjoyable. The loop appears to be the same cut of the scene that was in Babylon Pink, so if you've seen the feature film, there isn't any need to seek out this adult film loop.

The sex scene itself is incredibly hot. Neither Vanessa Del Rio nor Dave Ruby says a word to each other. David Ruby just shows up behind Vanessa Del Rio, and the two go into animalistic style sex driven by purely natural urges. Vanessa Del Rio and Dave Ruby were both excellent performers, and neither one disappoints in Vanessa.

Vanessa is a great adult film loop, which, if you haven't seen Babylon Pink, is well worth watching. However, Babylon Pink, itself, is a great film and if you like feature films, it is probably worth watching the film as a whole.

The edition of Vanessa screened is the streaming-only exclusive version at HotMovies.

Command Cinema has done a poor job with their streaming-only release of Vanessa. Vanessa was shot on 35mm film; however, the master used for this release was a videotape. Vanessa is presented in the Academy aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The loop contains artifacts, and the definition is far lower than one would expect, especially when compared to Command Cinema's recent Blu-ray releases. Vanessa is watchable. There is a Command bug in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Vanessa is presented with an English monaural audio track. There isn't much dialog in the adult film loop, but what is there is clear and easy to understand. The ambient sound from the scene sounds decent, although there is an omnipresent whine in the audio throughout the loop.

Command Cinema hasn't included any extras with their release of Vanessa.

Vanessa is an excellent adult film loop, that was initially called Vanessa's Hottest Fantasy, from Henri Pachard and Command Cinema. Vanessa Del Rio rarely disappoints in her scenes, and she certainly doesn't disappoint the viewer in Vanessa. Unfortunately, Command Cinema has done a poor job with their streaming-only release of Vanessa with mediocre video and audio quality.
