Ultimate Firsts is an Adam & Eve compilation of various female performers’ first scenes. While I think this is a good – potentially great – concept, its execution suffers from a few problems. Firstly, as one would expect for some of the stars listed above, the source material of their first scenes is extremely old, which results in variable, mostly poor A/V aspects. The scenes in the latter half of the compilation are slightly better but the overall A/V quality is below average at best.

Most of the scenes are couples-oriented and use condoms, neither of which are problematic as far as I’m concerned. However, one thing that really bugged me was the immense amount of slow-motion in virtually every scene it seemed. It may be the case that all of those scenes had that much slow-motion, but I find that difficult to believe. I hope that Adam & Eve didn’t edit in the slow-motion themselves, as it really, really kills heat. And it certainly didn’t complement the low A/V quality.

Extras comprised a photo gallery, a very weak cast list and 16 previews. To be fair, A&E were limited in the extras they could include, but I feel they could have invested more into the extras and presentation. Especially if they intend Ultimate Firsts to be a DVD that customers actively seek out rather than a give away or promotional item.

Ultimately, A&E’s Ultimate Firsts is an ordinary compilation. The poor technical aspects combined with generally unremarkable scenes don’t amount to much at all. However, the idea is sound and I would strongly encourage Adam & Eve to begin an Ultimate Firsts series, using newer girls with sharper and hotter source material. If they can avoid slow-motion and the other pitfalls of this title they’ll have a real winner on their hands.

SCENE 1 – Elements of Desire: Draghixa & Jenna Jameson
Jenna’s first girl/girl scene is a softly-filmed scene from Cameron Grant’s Elements of Desire. Jenna looks young but not very attractive; Draghixa is fairly plain. This scene is well-lit but the camera tracks and cuts far too quickly, and the action never really gets heated. There are some visually tantalising moments but this is an unsatisfying inclusion, with a lot of softcore modelling and little sex to speak of.

SCENE 2 – Elements of Desire: Julia Ann with Aaron Colt
Julia Ann’s first feature/scene also comes from Elements. Julia, a sexy blonde, models some black lingerie for Aaron; there’s slightly better direction here and the cuts aren’t quite so dizzying. Sadly, there’s only about 10 seconds of Julia blowing Aaron. The sex was light and appropriately couples-oriented and ended with a chest cumshot. Both scenes suffered from grain but not so much from slow-motion.

SCENE 3 – Caribbean Undercover: Tera Patrick with Anthony Crane
Tera’s first anal scenes was taken from Caribbean Undercover, a much more recent film but one that apparently suffered from massive A/V problems. Tera is a gorgeous half-English half-Thai woman with probably the best natural breasts in the whole business. Anthony is a bit of a disaster, but she goes down on him anyway. Tera has always looked fantastic sucking cock. The sex is harmed by the low sound levels and slow-motion, but wasn’t particularly remarkable at any rate. Anthony cums on her ass to conclude. The best part, despite the poor filming, was Tera giving PC head.

SCENE 4 – Fire & Ice: Jessica Drake & Vivian Valentine with Evan Stone
Jessica’s first feature film scene stars Vivian Valentine, an average-looking brunette, and Evan Stone. Drake looks a lot like Victoria Pratt but doesn’t really do anything in this scene. The sex wasn’t particularly hot or well-filmed and suffered from slow-motion, bad cuts and some discontinuity. Vivian takes Evan anally before he launches his load on her back.

SCENE 5 – Palace of Pleasure: Crystal Gold with Steven St. Croix
Crystal Gold’s first feature/scene is a bathroom blowjob. Crystal is an average blonde with big implants. She gives a reasonably long blowjob, accompanied by some old-time jazz music. This scene is ordinary and ends with a cumshot to her implants.

SCENE 6 – Naked Truth: Ashton Moore with Brick Majors
Ashton Moore’s first feature/scene is with square-faced Brick Majors. Ashton is a sexy blonde with hefty implants. She gives good, soft head but the slow-motion again really interferes. The couple 69 before starting with some reverse cowgirl. This scene was warmish thanks mostly to Ashton’s looks, but was undermined by the editing, persistent slow-motion and the poor attempt at a facial.

SCENE 7 – Erotic Visions: Jeanna Fine, Jenteal & Nicole Lace
Jenteal’s first scene (a girl/girl one) was also directed by Cameron Grant. Jenteal is very sexy and has a lovely body. Jeanna and Nicole aren’t very attractive but have nicely implanted tits. The sex was pretty weak due to the low sound levels, the use of toys and the editing.

SCENE 8 – Touch: Nicolette with Ian Daniels
Nicolette, an ordinary blonde who I’ve never heard of, has a remarkably unremarkable first feature/scene, culminating in a weak body shot.

SCENE 9 – Infinite Bliss: Carli, Coral Sands & Taylor St. Claire
Taylor St. Claire’s first feature/scene is weaker than Jessica Drake’s, in that she does even less in her supposed feature debut. Taylor is an above average brunette who watches Carli and Coral get it on. The girls wear stupid goggles but are quite sexy, particularly redheaded Carli. What’s not sexy is the rough toy use, the silly touching and the stupid sounds that are substituted for music. With the goggles and the slow-motion, it’s all a big mess despite the huge potential here. Taylor masturbates a little but doesn’t even get naked before the scene ends abruptly. Very poor.

SCENE 10 – The Garden Party: Angela Austin, Brittany Andrews & Mark Davis
Angela Austin’s first scene is without a doubt the best on this DVD and makes me want to see The Garden Party. Angela has decent looks and a slightly hardened face; Brittany is a really cute big-titted blonde babe. The girls start out slowly and pick things up when Mark Davis joins in. Despite the infuriating slow-motion, this scene looks very good and manages to convey good warmth. There’s not much sex but it’s fairly hot and ends with Davis giving Angela’s face a very good spray. Easily the best scene here.

SCENE 11 – Goddess: Skylar Knight with Joey Ray
Unfortunately, Skylar Knight’s first feature scene closes things on a much lower note. Although she is exotic-looking, her scene is short and lacks heat, ending with a stomach shot.
