Audio /Video Quality: As one expects with compilations, the audio and video can vary greatly from scene to scene. The audio is fairly consistent and well balanced here, but there are a few scenes that have some dubbing. The video varies greatly, going from extremely clear to slightly grainy. The grainy scenes all come from features that were shot on film, where some grain is expected.

Music: As one expects with a compilation, the music varies in both style and balance. The balance ranges from being the only audio to a very nice balance with the rest of the audio.

Menus: The main menu is very simple and doesn’t even have any animation. The chapter menu is very nicely organized and lists each scene by its featured performer.

The Feature: As the title suggests, Ultimate Firsts is a compilation of stars’ firsts. In most cases it’s a star’s very first scene, but it also includes first acts for many of the stars. Each scene has a nice intro scene that lists the featured star and their first, as well as the feature the scene comes from.

The feature starts out with Jenna Jameson’s first lesbian scene. The scene pairs her with Draghixa and comes from Cameron Grant’s Elements of Desire. When you look through the past roster of talent Adam & Eve has had you can see a lot of extremely popular stars. Devoting a compilation of these stars’ scenes is a great idea and one that’s executed very well. Not all the scene are excellent, but many of them are. Whether you like the scenes or not, you know where they come from since the featured star and the feature are both listed at the start of each scene. Once again, Adam & Eve has shown that making a well done compilation isn’t, or at least shouldn’t, be that difficult.

Extras: The photo gallery contains about twenty very nice looking photos from many of the scenes. The cast listing shows a photo of almost all of the female members of the cast. It’s a nice touch, but a little more information would have been really nice also. Overall: Currently, Ultimate Firsts can be found online for between $14 and $24 with quite a few stores offering it near the bottom end. This is a very fair price for this compilation. Note to Adam & Eve: Nice job on this compilation. It’s great to see each of the scenes labeled so that one can hunt down the rest of the feature if they enjoy the scene.
