Ultimate Erotic Fantasy, The Review

Metro's ULTIMATE EROTIC FANTASY is simply a compilation of scenes from Ultimate's line of films, directed by Andrew Blake doppelganger Cameron Grant. There is no doubt that each and every scene on this disc is well-photographed, imaginative, and absolutely hot as hell when it comes to sex, but this is to be expected when you consider the source material.

The overall presentation, however, is somewhat lacking and greatly undermines the superb content. The DVD "boxcover" looks pretty generic when it comes to beauty and design. In fact, the model posing next to the car on the packaging is not one I readily recognize (although I am guessing that it's Jenteal), and seems to be taken from another video not directed by Grant. Furthermore, not all the stills found on the back of the DVD cover (or incorporated in the photo gallery) are from scenes in this feature, although they are clearly taken from other works by the director. So if you are looking for advertised actresses Asia Carrera, Shayla LaVeux or Paula Price, you won't find them on this disc.

But to be sure, you really can't go wrong with a release like this, although if I were making a compilation of Grant's best scenes, surely the Misty Rain/Celeste lesbian tryst from ELEMENTS OF DESIRE would have made it, as well as the Shayla LaVeux/Julia Ann/Aaron Colt threesome from the same movie. And what about the Asia Carrera/Paula Price/Celeste menage a trois? The list can go on... Instead, what we get is Jenna Jameson looking desireable as hell in a virgin white themed lesbian encounter with Draghixa (no doubt this scene was included to capitalize on Jenna's pseudo-mainstream popularity), and a couple of straightforward guy girl scenes involving Nicole Lace and Steve Drake (from FANTASY CHAMBER), and Melissa Hill and Stephen St. Croix (from the as yet unreleased DVD, THE PALACE). Mind you, every scene in this greatest hits collection worthwhile, but there is always a better among the best.

Among all eight scenes, two stand out in particular as being simply amazing. Misty Rain, Celeste and Debi Diamond make a fiery threesome in an all-girl scene that is by far one of my all time favorites. As Debi sits back in a doctor's chair, Misty and Celeste (looking incredibly sexy in nurse's uniforms) dive right into action prodding, prying, caressing, kissing, and generally devouring Debi (and each other) to a boiling point that never seems to lose steam. For the first time, the non-stop energy of Ms. Diamond seems to be outmatched by the predatory instinct of Celeste. This imaginatively conceived, and beautifully directed vignette should please anyone and everyone who likes their lesbian sessions with all out athletic action as well as passion. The menage a trois ends with a simply delectable three-way kiss before the fadeout, making for a perfect ending to a perfect scene.

The other memorable moment on this disc involves a straightforward suck and fuck between Celeste and Woody Long, which ends in a spectacularly shot oral cumshot filmed close-up and in slow motion. This scene just about upstages the Tori Welles/Peter North facial which was an absolute highlight in Andrew Blake's NIGHT TRIPS. Although Celeste has opened her mouth to many money shots from Mr. Long in other videos (see SEXY NURSES 2 for one of their best moments together), this excerpt from ELEMENTS OF DESIRE is a stand-out in porn history. Unfortunately, and almost unforgivably, this extended climax is faded out for the credit roll as the original soundtrack plays on. Part of the appeal of this scene was to witness Celeste's considerable oral talents as she sucks, licks, tickles and teases Woody's orgasming member until its drained of fluid, but we are denied watching this scene to completion. So for those who want to witness this wet encounter in all its glory, pull out the original DVD of ELEMENTS and forget about this abridged version.

The other all-girl scenes on this compilation are also noteworthy, particularly Misty Rain, Felicia and the present Vivid Girl Jenteal getting it on during some pseudo-cultish ritual. Naturally, they make good use of the candles which illuminates their alter of sex, dripping hot wax on each other after a little bondage play. Jenteal, Nicole Lace and the overrated (to me anyway) Jeanna Fine do a simple, yet elegant threesome on a living room couch, which is better than most, but definitely not the best Cameron has ever directed.

If you already own THE DINNER PARTY (which had one of the worst DVD transfers I have ever seen, but is now undergoing a remastering), EROTIC VISIONS and FANTASY CHAMBER, this disc merely re- runs material from those titles --- sort of like Adam & Eve's video version of a K-Tel 8-track tape. However, for those who have not yet discovered the remarkable work by Cameron Grant, THE ULTIMATE EROTIC FANTASY is a perfect place to start. All eight scenes make up for a great sampler of some of the best films currently available on DVD.
