To those whom are familiar with the GirlFriends Films releases, you know what to expect, where to expect it, and how to expect it. For those not familiar, let me fill you in:

What you can expect? Simply the most realistic sex in lesbian adult video. This is true, I’ve reviewed roughly 20 GFF releases so far and the format hasn’t changed, regardless of which series I’m checking out. This is a good thing, because if you’re a fan of these releases, you’ll find it very appealing.

Where to expect it? The town of Thornhill, Thornhill University, and now the Thornhill Police Department.

How to expect it? All GFF scenes more or less follow the same format. A straight girl on girl setup that eventually moves to the bedroom where we have some slow kissing, undressing, fondling, and the girls eventually take turns going down on one another. It’s a slow burn with the occasional reluctance of the one girl as the other makes advances onto her; the reluctant girl then becomes receptive and soon welcomes the ways of girl on girl love. Usually the releases are 4 scenes long and run just short of 3 hours.

That brings us to “To Protect and Serve 1,” a new series from GFF takes us into the world of lesbian law enforcement. As with all the series, it’s 4 scenes, but this release is only 2 hours long, eliminating a lot of the buildup to the scenes and also the soft gentleness between the girls. As I’ve said in past reviews, a little tightening up was needed, but I guess this is a little too much.

The scene breakdowns are:

Lux Kassidy, Zoe Voss
Celeste Star, Lily Labeau
Andy San Dimas, Hayden Night
Dyanna Lauren, Julia Ann

Overall opinion: I’m going to have to say that this release is average at best and unless you’re a big fan of the cast, there are better releases in the GFF library. The rating for this is based on newbie director Melissa Monet helming this series, and while she’s been an active lesbian performer over her career, she has only 11 directing gigs overall. Of the 11, 2 are recent and the balance was from the late 90’s. Over time I'm sure she'll be able to kick up the heat index, but it's not in this release.

Pluses: Andy and Zoe are super hot and I love everything about them. All the girls are hot.

Minuses: It almost feels that this was shot for Late Night Skinimax as the close-ups were minimal and we really don’t see a lot of mouth on pussy contact.

Sleaziness Factor (1-10): 1 not from GFF, not ever.

Is it worth it? Only if you’re a fan of the girls and are in need of a fix. This is a rare miss from GFF.
