While Carter Stevens was working on completing Rollerbabies, he was introduced to one of the Young twins, twin sisters who were willing to have sex on camera together, by Annie Sprinkle. He managed to quickly obtain the funding and create a rushed film, which is what you get here.

Hope (Brooke Young) and Prudence (Taylor Young) are sisters who can feel what the other is doing. Their stepfather Gerald (Leo Lovemore) has found a 400-year-old translation of the Necronomicon that he and his research partner Robert (Eric Edwards) want to translate.

The story is cheesy and moves rather quickly and seems, for the most part, to exist for Stevens to introduce as many un-PC moments as possible into the film. Not only does Stevens have the two twins have sex with each other, but Hope and Prudence both have sex with their stepfather Gerald over the course of the film, Prudence masturbates with a Bible, Hope has sex with Robert while her mother Claire (Tia von Davis) watches, and there is an orgy over a pentagram.

Despite being a rush job and created solely due to Stevens being introduced to the Young twins, Teenage Twins is better than many of the one day wonders created during the 70s. It is on the lower end of Stevens work, but better than some directors managed to churn out during their entire career. The twins aren't great actresses and Stevens has stated they weren't very versed in sex, requiring instructionals by Mary Stuart. Some of the casting is off, for instance, Leo Lovemore looks more the age of the twins than their stepfather.

Obsession Entertainment has done a great job with the presentation of the film but falls way short for the extras. Teenage Twins is presented in the full screen aspect ratio of 1.33:1. The master used for the presentation appears to have been a film print. The presentation boasts beautiful vibrant colors and contains some artifacts and print damage. In the scene with Edwards and von Davis, flesh tones appear to be on the red side and on the scene with Lovemore and Taylor Young flesh tones appear to be too white. Teenage Twins is presented with an English Dolby Digital 2.0 monaural track. The audio isn't as good as the picture with the music at a higher level than the dialog. The only extra that Obsession Entertainment has included on the disc is a photo gallery.

Teenage Twins is a very quickly developed and shot film that only exists due to Carter Stevens finding twins that would perform together. While far from the worst to come from the era, it is also far from the best to come from the era. The release by Obsession Entertainment is better than the VCX release, sporting beautiful colors and a transfer which likely came from a film print.
