Bree Mills wrote and directed this story which is an autobiographical piece on her coming out. This movie has come out in both an R-rated and an X-rated version, the only difference being the X-rated version has hardcore sex scenes in it. Since this is an adult-orientated website, I am reviewing the X-rated version. This is a very personal project for Bree and I am honored that she sent me an advanced version of this movie.

Kristen Scott plays Sam, a loner in high school who gets bullied by the other kids. The film opens with Kristen walking down the street minding her own business when a group of teenagers call her names and toss her in a dumpster. Her father is upset about it but Sam just internalizes it and you can tell by Kristen’s eyes and body language how she is feeling. During class, one of her classmates passes her a note to be her partner for a school project. The music and the subtle acting makes this scene come alive and for anyone who was bullied in high school, for any reason, this scene speaks to them. They go over to Aidra Fox’s house and do a little of the project and talk in between. Aidra asks how Kristen got the black eye and, instead of telling the truth, she makes up a story because it is tough to admit the truth sometimes.

Aidra wants to take a break and asks Kristen if she would like to take a nap. Aidra is way more comfortable with herself and her body than Kristen is. Sam learns she’s not alone and feels better about herself. She talks to a guidance counselor about her future plans and she’s comfortable in saying she’s gay. Sam is finally her own woman and comes out to her mother.

This was an absolute masterpiece by Bree Mills and the whole crew at Adulttime. This must have been a tough story to write. Even though it’s autobiographical, it’s not easy letting the public see your weaknesses and how you have evolved. Everything about this film is perfect. From the acting to the story to the music to the cinematography. Kristen Scott is absolutely wonderful in the role of a lifetime. She conveyed the emotions of her character with her looks, her eyes and her body language. She became the character. The other actresses that had main roles in this film including Aidra Fox, Kenna James and Kendra Spade were tremendous. This is a film that should be a must-see for any teenager, straight or gay. For people that are gay, it’s important to know that you are not alone and everyone has a different story. For people that are straight, it’s important to see the struggles that some teens have when it comes to their sexuality (or other aspects of their being). Bullying is a real problem and maybe seeing this film would help prevent that.

In conclusion, I have seen many an adult film in my life or any film for that matter. There might not be a more important or well thought out movie that I have seen more than this one. It is perfect in every way. Everyone associated with this project should be proud of themselves. I can not say too many good things about this release.
