Erotic photographer extraordinaire Andrew Blake is renowned as one of the leading Porn directors in the industry today. That said, his brand of high class erotica differs dramatically from the much more graphic likes of Jules Jordan or John Stagliano. His material is very arty, soft focus, full of slow motion and normally always with a moody music soundtrack. To put it bluntly it’s like watching a Playboy spread come to life.

On this release we get a number of vignettes with very subtle themes, no story and no dialogue just lots of posing and some of the most beautiful and sensual women in the world, draped and displayed for your pleasure. I was at first underwhelmed by the lack of passion or any real sex, but then again also found myself mesmerised by the images presented to me. This was classy stuff, with lots of lingerie and jewellery, feathers and high heels ticking off a wealth of my favourite fetishes.

As far as masturbatory material is concerned, this works for me, but not as a quick fix like seeing Teagan Pressley getting nailed might be. If you’re going to stroke it to an Andrew Blake film, you should be prepared to take your time and get caught up in the erotic atmosphere. Which I guess is the point. I enjoyed the scenes involving the delicious Dahlia Grey, a slightly dark skinned Angelina Jolie look-a-like who seems to be the main focus for much of the DVD, be it dressed in tights that get torn open, or in a School-Girl Gym slip and white socks for a very kinky masturbation session. I also was glad to see some close up vagina shots and some fingering, some glass dildo use and even a sequence with three girls where one fucks herself on a wine bottle.

Even though Andrew Blake has been knocked for not being as extreme as some other directors, he doesn’t shy away from showing graphic close ups and delivering some top flight visuals that all add up to a great showcase of the female body – which can’t be a bad thing, surely.

The DVD for the most part is presented in 16:9 wide screen and on a double sided DVD, with side A in 5.1 Dolby Digital and side B in 2.0 Dolby Digital. It puzzled me why the film was split over two sides when really the vignettes supposedly marketed as extras are up to the same quality as those in the main feature. They should have been presented as one whole 3hr epic, and then used the other side (or a second disk) for photo galleries and behind the scenes material. A missed opportunity.
