Initial Expectations: I haven’t heard much good about Karen Dior’s movies, but with Tina Tyler and Temptress here I’ve gotta give this one a try!

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty average. It’s nicely balanced and there aren’t many background noises. Unfortunately, there are a few areas which look to be obviously dubbed. The video is a bit better. There’s just a hint of grain (although it’s more visible in some parts than others), and it’s nicely lit throughout the feature. There is a moment or two, however, where it appears that some of the equipment pops into view on the upper edge of the screen.

Music: The music has a bit of a trippy feel and rests very quietly in the background of the audio.

Menus: The menus are extremely basic. The main menu is unanimated and the chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and a chapter number.

The Feature

Karen Dior starts things out introducing herself and the movie. Although she doesn’t come right out and say it, she lets you know that you don’t have to worry about any kind of plot and that it’s going to be a low budget fuck-fest. The only thing connecting the scenes are that each and every one of them are shot on her bed.

Scene 1 - Vince Bandero and James Perry

Vince Bandero and James Perry start things out playing with each other lightly while talking with an off-screen Karen. They don’t waste much time talking before they start warming each other up, sucking and stroking each other’s cock. Vince even fingers James’ ass to get him ready for his cock later. After James sucks Vince’s cock a bit he lays back and lets him fuck his ass. James also lets Vince fuck him like a dog before Vince rips off his rubber and decorates James’ ass. After popping, Vince asks what time it is and tells James he has to go.

This is an okay scene. James and Vince really seem to be into each other, but the camera work holds the scene back from achieving its full potential. There’s quite a few blocked shots and you feel a little claustrophobic in Karen’s bedroom. That said, the chemistry between James and Vince helps the scene feel worthwhile anyway, but they overdo the vocals to the point that some of it seems laughable.

Scene 2 - James Perry, Annabel Chong, and Leo De Silver

When James wants a little satisfaction and Vince leaves, they bring in Annabel so James can get a little satisfaction as well. Annabel starts sucking James’ cock, and takes it into her throat repeatedly, before Karen announces that Leo’s there watching and wants to join in. They happily let Leo know that he can come play as well, so he helps Annabel work on James before they move around so that everybody can get plenty of oral attention from everybody else. After the extremely long oral session, James gets between Annabel and Leo, fucking her from behind while getting it from behind himself. They work it through missionary also before Annabel sucks Leo while sitting on James’ face. The two guys jerk themselves to a pop on their chest to finish things up.

This is a pretty good scene. Everybody has their place, which I understand is fairly normal in gay scenes, but here it makes the scene feel a bit repetitious. I really like how Annabel and the guys moved around so that everybody got a little oral action from everybody else in the warmup, but it went on so long that I started to lose interest in the scene. The camera work is also a bit lacking, as you barely get to see Annabel’s face throughout the scene (and it isn’t so bad that it should be hidden!). This is a pretty good scene, but if it would have been tightened up a bit I think it would have been much better.

Scene 3 - Tina Tyler, Paul Carrigan, and Chad Conners

Tina Tyler starts out her scene lying on the bed and looking as scrumptious as normal before she’s joined by two guys, one blonde and the other dark haired, and told that she can do whatever she wants with them. Paul lays down on the bed while Chad lets Tina strip him down. The guys quickly start sucking each other, including quite a bit of sixty-nining, while Tina watches and joins in a little now and then. Tina gets a little oral warmup from both of the guys before Chad moves off to fuck the guy who continues to eat her while stroking his own cock. Paul moves up to fuck Tina while continuing to get fucked himself before Chad takes a turn fucking her. Finally Tina strokes both guys onto her great natural tits.

This is a bit of a disappointing scene, and seems to be a pretty stereotypical bisexual scene. That means that it’s basically a gay scene with a girl thrown in the mix. Tina seems to almost be in the way at times, and although Paul looks like he’s into her much of the time, Chad looks like he’d rather be most anywhere else. It’s not really a good thing, and after the great start mentioning Tina dominating both of them it ends up a letdown.

Scene 4 - Temptress, Leo De Silver, and Chris Donnell

This threesome starts out in the middle of the action with Temptress sucking Chris while Chris plays with Leo. As usual, they work the oral love all around before Leo fucks Temptress as she sucks Chris. They add a little twist by giving Temptress a strap-on to fuck Chris with while Leo continues to give it to her from behind. Finally, Chris fucks Temptress missionary style while they give Leo a little oral attention before the guys stroke it into the air and onto Temptress.

This is an okay scene. I really like the twist here of giving Temptress a strap-on, but other than that, this scene just seemed like a rehashing of the other scenes. The chemistry isn’t as good here as the other scenes, but there’s the same lackluster camera work which holds things back from ever appearing too good.

Scene 5 - Janis Jones, Johnny Thrust, and Drew Andrews

Janis Jones heads up the final scene, and unlike the other scenes starts things out giving both guys a little head. As usual, she gets fucked while sucking cock, and Drew, who started out fucking her, gets fucked also. Both Drew and Johnny take a turn fucking her, and finally both of them cum all over her chest as she lies back for them.

This would have been a pretty impressive scene if it were the first scene in the movie. As is, it feels like a redo of all the other scenes and ended up as a depressing way to end the feature. It’s really too bad because there is some nice chemistry here, and unlike many male performers in bi movies Drew looks to be into Janis every bit as much as he is into Johnny. It’s one of the few things that helps this end up as an average scene, as otherwise it would have been just kinda blah.

Switch Hitters 10 is a pretty average bisexual movie. There’s no plot here, because that takes money and Karen Dior starts the movie out telling the viewer that she spent all the money on talent. I’m sure that’s just due to the volume of people here, but there is some good talent here. Most of the girls look to be into a little bi-action, but the guys often look like they couldn’t care less if the girls were there or not. The bigger problem is that all the scenes feel the same with the exception of Temptress’ scene due to her strap-on. Every scene just goes back and forth with the oral before the girl gets fucked by one guy who’s also getting fucked by a guy. Other than the strap-on, there’s nothing to mix it up like rimming, a bit of spanking, anal for the girls, or a foursome with two girls and two guys. Bisexual movies should open the door for almost anything sexually, but Switch Hitters 10 doesn’t come close to taking the chance with any of it, and ends up suffering in the end because of it.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery lasts about three and a quarter minutes with about ten seconds per slightly below average looking full screen photo. There’s also website and corporate information, as well as a the B-Side of the DVD containing roughly forty trailers which last well over an hour total.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Metro’s DVDs can be found online for between $12 and $25 with most stores offering them for around $20. Rent this one before you buy it. Yes, there’s some good talent here, but the scenes are very repetitious. The technical aspects are pretty good, but there’s nothing worth mentioning for extras.

Note to Metro: A few more chapter breaks would have been a very good thing here!
