Supermodel 2: Lene's Day Off Review

To paraphrase a certain super-movie slogan, "if you haven't seen the first part, then you haven't seen the best part!" which can be applied to this sequel to SUPERMODEL, a Wave Video release which was a pretty damn good mid-nineties movie that deserved a second chance at finding a wider audience on DVD. Although the "prequel" stood on its won as a complete, self-contained film, SUPERMODEL 2 features most of the same characters and refers to the original crime story as the first, but I found the sex to be less imaginative and less heated overall. The story is interesting by porn-standards, involving a mystery criminal and the subsequent investigation by detective Buck Adams, but the movie works better as just plain old porn.

Even though Lene is the star of the show, allow me to sing my first praises over Leena, an auburn- haired sex bomb with a fantastic figure and gorgeous looks. She also happens to be one of the most energetic performers ever to grace porn, and though her scenes in SUPERMODEL 2 are not her best, she looks simply terrific in every scene, especially in those high-fashion outfits. She participates in a threesome with Chante and Adam Wilde, which starts off with her sitting in a suspended hammock (really one of those funky sex chairs suspended from the ceiling) on a literally steamy set as she directs the action. There are times when the chair gets in the way of all the great visuals, but it's not enough to distract from the scene. Leena does her patented cooing and orgasmic little girl's voice as she gets fucked, but she leaves the anal stuff (for which she usually excels) to Chante. It's too bad that this is her only true sex scene (there is a brief segment where she seduces St. Croix), because another full moment with her would have given this film a higher rating.

Chante, Lene and Alex Sanders start off in what should have been a boiling hot threesome while on a Tarzan-themed photo shoot, but it is interrupted unneccesarily by the story, and we're left hung out to dry. Fortunately, Ivy and the Vanessa Chase help get the blood flowing again in a lesbian locker room scene, while Lene and Stephen St. Croix have sex behind the studio set. All three women are dressed in a cheerleaders outfit, which is timely in this day and age of Britney Spears, and both scenes are nicely intercut. Ivy is a super attractive brunette who seemed to have a short-lived career in porn, which is a damn shame since she has all the right stuff to be a popular Vivid Girl. She and Vanessa enjoy a lengthy sixty-nine session while Lene gives Stephen a loving blowjob. Condoms are used in all of Lene's penetration scenes, but they don't take anything away from the action. Lene is also featured in a lesbian scene shared by Asia Carrera (who had a great scene with Amber Lynn's brother in the first movie) and Rebecca Wilde (whose overly-made-up, bleached blonde presence is unnecessary since Asia and Lene outclass her by leaps and bounds). Lene then gets a missionary and doggy style fuck by Mark Davis, but she doesn't put her mouth on him, which was disappointing.

Vixxen and Kaitlyn Ashley make a little love before Jay Ashley and T.C. join them for a separate suck and fuck, which includes anal on each girl. Although the guys get the job done, neither seem particularly into their very sexy respective blondes. Kaitlyn takes a load on her enhanced chest, and Vixxen takes it in her mouth.

Buck and Rebecca close the movie with a desk-top screw, which had little appeal to me and thus ended the movie on a minor low-note. For those interested in the story over seeing these two get it on, viewers should note their scene comes immediately after we find out who the real villain is, so as soon as you see Lene rip Leena's mask off (oops, sorry!) then you can flip the disc over to catch a bunch of extra scenes from the Vivid catalog, which includes a few great scenes with Celeste, Janine and Laura Palmer.

Speaking of extras, I sure wish Vivid would at least give some source credits as to from where these "bonus" scenes are taken. In particular, there is this one girl-girl scene featuring two gorgeous brunettes whom I could not place. Vivid could guarantee some instant sales if we just knew what to buy! As to the DVD's other qualities, the shot-on-film picture was just as good as the first movie, which is to say that it's better than videotape but still suffers from artifacts and is hazy looking throughout. Sound is also good, but does get a little harsh especially with all the non-orgasmic shrieking by Lene (such as when the movie's true antagonist is discovered).

SUPERMODEL 2 isn't a sequel that surpasses the original, but I enjoyed staring at Leena during the whole movie nevertheless. It's not a super DVD by any standard, but it is still good, dirty movie fun.
