The final edition in Private's DVD issue of the Superfuckers series (Pierre Woodman continues the line under the Hustler banner) dates from summer 2001, and features a typical selection of plotless sex scenes touching on initiations, "fetish" sex and plain old flat-out fucking. Hungarian brunette Tchanka hosts it from an apartment favoured by great views of Paris, but it's perhaps most notable for a DP scene featuring the delectable Barbarella. What more recommendation do you need?

The point of any Superfuckers I never anticipate with any enthusiasm is the "fetish" scene - in other words, Woodman's attempt at bringing some SM flavour to straight sex. The scene has hardly begun as I cringe. It's set in an abattoir; thankfully clean but hung with sides of meat - a bogus attempt at the bizarre, or a metaphor for contemporary porn? The presentation of the scene lacks the substantial amounts of creativity that would be necessary to carry it off - instead it just looks harsh and distinctly unpleasant.

The basic thrust of it all is this - crop-wielding domina Mary coolly presides over the action as two female slaves, Sandra (dark haired, but not the Sandra) and Crystal (pale, busty), suck and fuck with Bob and Alain on and around trolleys which are initially used to bring out the girls, who are bound by hand at first but freed for the sex. Mary's male slave Titof takes part too as both slave girls are fucked in pussy and ass, Sandra is DP'd and Mary sits on Crystal's face prior to Mary's own three-into-one session with the guys. She receives their come in her face. For long spells it looks like a lot of effort was needed to for the performers to stay interested - they all look cold! I've already said more than enough so simply a quick recap - Superfuckers 12 features a strong and varied cast of beautiful girls, of course, but sexually it's a mixed bag. If I can put that fetish fiasco out of mind, then it seems like a very respectable entry in the series, and with Barbarella in DP action it looks even better. She's fabulous, naturally, but Asian, Lilly and Erika also delighted me. Camerawork and lighting are reasonably good throughout, though nothing fancy and therefore suiting most of the scenes admirably. In the end, as always, it's a matter of preference, and I'd say I prefer Superfuckers 12 over a good portion of the Private section of the series. Look, it's got Barbarella in it, what are you waiting for!?!

The picture quality is good though like a lot of Woodman's stuff it's slightly dark overall. I didn't detect any obvious issues with sound. Multiple audio languages and subtitles are on offer, but the selection of extras is otherwise standard fare - photos, cast and production information, DVD Rom catalogue and wallpaper, and trailers of course.
