The thing is, I don't particularly like writing (or even reading) porn reviews. Part of the problem is that so much of today's porn is disposable - you could as well be reviewing tissue papers or something. Sure, I have my preferences, but they are hardly universal.

However, I feel that this DVD is an overlooked gem that really deserves more attention. Private Performance have previously released a few female solo DVDs in the Liquid Gold series. I have three of them, and while the video/audio quality leaves much to be desired, they (particularly Vols 1 and 2) contain some of the very best female masturbation scenes I have ever seen. The latter observation applies also to Solitaire! Vol. 1, while the technical quality has improved so much that it is hard to believe this DVD is from the same studio. The picture is so good, especially when compared to the earlier sub-par releases from this company, that I am tempted to use overblown expressions like "crystal clear". Let's just say it is really good, though, and the sound quality is also very nice. Fans of any of the abovementioned ladies, and of female solo scenes in general, should definitely check this out, and I do mean this.

Note: if you absolutely don't want to see any peeing, you are safe if you skip the first Regina Hall scene - there are no other pee-pee scenes here. This scene, by the way, reminded me of the peeing scene in the Austin Powers movie - the girl must have drunk like a camel in preparation. The setup is that she is sleeping in this large bed, and then she wakes up an has to pee. She gets on the toilet, and pees and pees for about a minute. Then she takes off her nightie, brushes her hair, and puts on some makeup.  Then she has to pee again, in the washbasin! Afterwards, she uses a curling iron for a dildo to get herself off.

Aside from that, you'll see bananas, carrots and other vegetables used as dildos in a couple of scenes - I guess that's why they talk about veggie sex. Isabella also masturbates by squatting on a wine bottle, and you'll see juices from her pussy running down the glass in closeup.

One of the things I like in this DVD is that there is always a little bit of tease and seduction at the beginning of each scene. The scenes have an intimate, personal  feel to them - it feels like these women are really doing a private performance just for me - smiling, inviting and sharing a little secret moment. The camera seems to love the female body, yet there are enough glistening, wet open closeups for the serious pussylover.

Another thing I like here is the sound - there isn't much of it, for the most part. Each scene has some unobtrusive backround music, which might be used just to mask any unwanted noises. Beyond that, the soundtrack is fairly quiet - besides the moans and heavy breathing you can hear the squishy sounds as fingers or dildos explore the pink moist caverns. The exception here is Avalon -  she  is the only one who speaks more than a couple of words - considerably more, in fact. She does talk a really good dirty talk, just as she did in Liquid Gold 1. The kinky factor is much less this time around, though. She walks in the door in her evening clothes, and proceeds to finger herself, pull on her nipples and similar antics. Finally she reaches for a large dildo, which she uses to bring herself to a LOUD orgasm.

A general observation on women sucking on dildos: when Avalon does this, she says "This is what I'd be doing to you if you were here". Meridian, doing the same thing, does not need to say it in words - she just smiles in closeup, with the dildo on her lips, and you get the message "loud and clear".

At the moment, my favorite scene on this DVD is probably the veggie scene with Regina Hall - she just looks so cute and edible (or should I say mouth-wateringly delicious) and wholesome in that white top, when she sits on the kitchen counter, legs spread, with a carrot between her teeth and another between her legs. (On the other hand, I would be just as happy watching a whole 2 hour video of  Isabella Camille, and Meridian - another Czech girl - is a lovely blonde with a pretty smile who does a beautiful scene with a large dildo - so it's really tough to pick one scene over all the others.) (Come to think of it, everyone on this DVD except for Avalon comes from Czechia.)

I notice I haven't said anything about Sylvia Saint yet - but what more can I say? She opens the DVD with a sexy dildo scene, and does another one later on, and does a good job. She is not a favorite of mine, although she is certainly pretty enough. I guess it's just something about her face that makes me uneasy.

And Isabella! She does the one kitchen scene I have alluded to already, with a banana and a bottle, and another one in bed, where she uses two vibrators to DP herself.

I can't wait for more releases like Solitaire 1. I am not sure how this company works, though - they seem to be selling fairly expensive videos and DVDs exclusively from their own website. Then there are a few DVDs (the first 4 Liquid Gold titles and this one) that you can buy in other places for a much more reasonable price. I hope this DVD is a sign of things to come.
