Soap Studs (ARI) Review

Another of the early pre-condom videos now re-released on DVD, this one has the attraction of having been produced by the prolific Terry Le Grand whose hallmark was having a sense of humor.

The premise for this film is that we are watching a soap opera “Lust for Life”. Our two soap stars meet, sit on the sofa, kiss and…..it’s time for a commercial! How eerie that Le Grand could prophesy from 20 years ago what TV viewing would be like in the 21st century: one minute of program followed by ten minutes of commercials. Of course if all commercials were like these we wouldn’t mind watching them.

Our first commercial has two lovers waking up in the morning. When one asks for a “good- morning kiss” the other says, “But your breath!” Spurts mints to the rescue. Old morning breath pops one into his mouth and before you can say “mouthwash” they are kissing, and much, much more.

Other ads are for Jacpac: “Gee, your ass feels almost as good as my Jacpac!” and Jac Cream: “Having trouble getting it in?” The last is my favorite as it features two adorable blond twinks, one of whom has long hair and an even longer dick. If they come with the Jac Cream, send me a case.

Finally the lovers in “Lust for Life” finish what they started.

The sex is nothing special outside the fact that it’s bareback, but it’s pleasant and the young guys are cute. It’s the type of DVD to watch with friends. But it’s an unnecessarily inflated price since these performers were paid twenty years ago and it only costs about 50 cents to burn a DVD. Get real!
