Synopsis:
In the near future, in a move similar to the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920s, cigarette smoking has been outlawed. Smoke junkies are those who are still addicted to tobacco and seek to get their fix through the black market. The film follows what several smoke junkies must do to get what they need to subside their cravings.

Audio/Video:
Smoke Junkies is presented with two primary audio tracks. There is an English 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround track and an English 2.0 Stereo track. Both of which sound great. The music and sound effects aren't too loud so they don't interfere with everything else that is going on and the dialog is clear and easy to hear throughout the film. Marie Madison Media hasn't included any foreign language tracks or subtitle options for the feature film.

Smoke Junkies is presented in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and on top of that the disc is anamorphic which will please viewers who have widescreen television sets. The video quality is a little lacking though. The bit rate appears to have been set slightly too low. In most places the video looks fine but when there is very fast movement there are noticeable pixels present. For instance, pixels are present at the end of the first scene on Jack Cole's hand and penis when he is jerking off. Other than this problem, the video looks great and the color levels are correctly set making for a pretty good viewing experience.

Special Features:
Marie Madison Media has included several extras on this special edition, most of which are contained on the second disc. The first disc contains only previews for Where There's Smoke, Indiscretions, Nice in the Ass Volume 2, Dirty Things, Girlfriends, and Nasty Friends 3: The Final Chapter. The second disc is where all the rest of the extras are located. There is a 42 minute extensive making of the film featurette called “Smoke Screen: The Making of Smoke Junkies” presented in widescreen. There is a photo gallery that contains 70 stills on a track. There is the Smoke Junkies original trailer presented in widescreen. There is also the Smoke Junkies 2 teaser trailer presented in widescreen. There are more previews on this disc for Orally Fixated, Yeah I Swallow 2, Nasty Friends 2, Girlfriends Too, Hey Marie Madison “You Gonna Blow Me or What?,” and Nice in the Ass.

Disc Design/Navigation:
The disc is designed with non-animated menus with background music that are simple but look nice and fit the film. There is a short animation between the menus. There are eight chapters available from the chapter menu. Each one is identified by a still frame from the scene. There are ten chapter stops within the feature film itself. There is a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film.

General Review:
Smoke Junkies is an amateur feature film which is make for viewers who have a smoking fetish. However, the viewer base goes beyond just viewers with a smoking fetish as the film is well made and viewers who aren't bothered by smoking going on in all the sex scenes should find a lot to like here. Like several other feature films that Marie Madison has made, this film is part of a series, so the story doesn't conclude at the end of the film. Instead there is a teaser sex scene along with the to be continued. There isn't too much of a plot to the film, basically several characters are set up. Some of which I expect we'll see again in the next installment and some we may not. The lack of a plot doesn't make the film uninteresting as a feature though as what is presented is well done so that the beginning of the story and the sex coincide without getting in the way of each other. The film may have a darker, more somber feel, than some viewers are looking for in an adult film however it is a nice break from the light hearted feel of many adult feature films.

The sex scenes are well done and don't contain much of anything that is too nasty. Viewers that have a smoking fetish will be in pure bliss, as every scene in the film contains smoking throughout the sex act. The smoking doesn't get in the way of the sex. There is a nice variety to the sex scenes and the cast looks good. Viewers that don't have a smoking fetish but don't mind cigarettes being present in the sex scenes should enjoy them as well. The sexual themes in the film are vaginal and anal sex with blow jobs, female masturbation (vaginal and anal), vaginal toy use, smoking, peeing, pussy eating, pussy fingering, anal fingering, and A2M. For viewers that care about condom use, there are condoms used in some of the scenes but not in others.

The film features great set work and locations with nicely worked in sound effects. Most of the scenes are shot indoors but there is a little outdoor scenery. The outdoor location was great as it was almost abandoned so it helped with the darker mood of the film. A little creative thought went into the sets as well as astute viewers will notice the phone number made famous by Tommy Tutone is shown on the alley set wall in graffiti. The film also boasts some nice music and original songs in it which fit in nicely.

Scene Synopsis:
Scene 1: McKenzie Sinclaire and Jack Cole
The first scene features McKenzie Sinclaire and Jack Cole and McKenzie starts the scene out by giving Jack a blow job. Then the two go into the vaginal sex. McKenzie returns to giving Kack a blow job then Jack jerks off until he cums on her face.

Scene 2: Marie Madison

Viewers that require nasty sex, an adult film with a plot or smoking will want to pass on this title. Others should give the film a try as it is definitely worth a look.
