Initial Expectations: Fairly high. I really enjoy a lot of Nick Orleans other movies that Adam & Eve has released such as The Garden Party, Fire & Ice, and Serenade.

Initial Reaction: The movie is okay but not one of Mr. Orleans best and brought down by the technical aspects.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody looking for a light porno.

Who Should Avoid It: Fans of nasty sex.

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is okay at best. Some of it is dubbed, and much of the dubbing is done very poorly. The video isn’t much better. There’s a slight grain to the video and some of the pixelation is very bad. There are also a few flashes of other colors and color blocks at some points in the movie.

Music: As usual with Nick Orleans’s features from Adam & Eve, Saint does the music. It’s a little different than his current style, but still very fitting.

Menus: The menus are very basic.

The Feature: The style of Nick Orleans’ Slave To Fashion feels almost like it belongs on E! or some other network that has fashion type shows. Most of the fast forward fodder found in this fine feature is an interview style where Nicolette, who we can assume is one of the top supermodel / porn stars around, tells about how many models use sex to further their career. It’s a concept that boggles the mind, but has the potential to make a fun porno. It’s light and believable, and sex and fashion so many times seem to go hand in hand. You don’t see many people who think plaid and polka dots go together getting lucky at the bar. At least, not the guys. There are some men who are willing to look past things like that for some, uh, other “inner” qualities.

Nicolette starts out with a personal story about an interview for a magazine cover with Paul Cox. Taylor St. Clair is also there, who unzips Paul’s pants and then leaves for Nicolette to take over, barely watching Nicolette’s blowjob. Nicolette is a fairly attractive slightly bleached blonde with real tits. There isn’t much chemistry at the start of the scene, but it does build a little. Basically, she sucks, he eats, they fuck in one position, and he blows his load on her face. Sadly, the scene is just about that exciting.

The next scene holds much more potential as Asia Carrera gives Taylor St. Clair her very first lesbian experience. At least, it’s her first lesbian experience in this feature. It’s a fun scene with a lot of toys and spanking. Even better, Asia and Taylor have great chemistry together and really seem to be enjoying themselves. It should have been a very hot scene, but it felt like the end was cut off of the scene which stole quite a bit of heat.

Alex Sanders gets a blowjob from a fairly attractive brunette model for the next scene. This was one of the more plot intensive scenes, or at least as close as it gets here. There’s a nice mix of the standard view and a view showing what the cameraman is seeing. While he’s getting his hummer, a cameraman and female reporter are right there and report on her sucking him off. Some of the camera work is done well, but this scene seemed like a waste since there isn’t even a pop shot.

Colt Steele takes on Jessica Jewel and a brunette for the next scene, and without a doubt the most hardcore scene in the feature. The ladies give Colt a very good double blowjob, and then trade off as he fucks them in both holes. It’s a hot scene with very good energy, but the pop shot is pretty weak.

Rebecca Lords, Shay Sweet, and Claudia Chase rebel against a bad designer by ripping his clothes off before a show. Just like with the Alex Sanders blowjob scene, it’s a nice mix of the regular view and the camera view. It’s a lot better scene and the girls work each other over with both dildos and naturally. Shay really shines here as she gets a nice long rim job and does anal with one of the toys. It’s a very hot scene and one of the best in the feature.

Finally, Nicolette talks about making her big move where she pulls a black guy up on the runway to give him a blowjob. Azlea joins in by giving one of the guys in the audience a hummer and a few other models show their stuff on the stage. Azlea limits her part to only a blowjob with the guy blowing his load all over the place, but Nicolette goes all the way and takes the cumshot on her bush. It’s not that hot of a scene, but it has a really great runway and fashion show to it.

Slave To Fashion has quite a bit of potential, but doesn’t do a lot with it. It’s a good premise and the plot is handled well for the format, but the sex lacks in a few scenes. Nicolette shows some good potential, even though I don’t think I’ve seen her in anything else, and the recognizable ladies do a very good job. Nick Orleans has done a great job in many other movies, but sadly this one will be easily forgotten.

Extras: Adam & Eve has their standard extras package here. Luckily, their standard is better than many of the other extras packages out there. The photo gallery contains a mix of twenty snapshots and full screen photos that are very clear. Trailers are included for Caribbean Undercover, Devoured, Taboo of Tarot, The Collector, and Ultimate Experience. There are also pretty decent bios for Alex Sanders, Asia Carrera, Azlea Antistia, Colt Steele, Nicolette, Rebecca Lord, Shay Sweet, and Taylor St. Clair. Finally, there’s the usual internet information.

Overall: Currently, A Slave To Fashion can be found online for between $10 and $23 with several stores offering it for under $15. If you’re a fan of some of the cast, it might be worth the lower end. If you’re not a fan of anybody here, rent it if you feel you need to see it. The movie and sex are okay, but the technical aspects really bring it down. The extras are basic, but nicely done.

Note to Adam & Eve: A little more attention to the transfer would have done wonders here. It’s hard to like a movie when such obvious aspects are treated so badly.
