Initial Expectations: It's been way too long since I've checked out a Celeste release, and with Shay Jordan up front for this one I can't help but look forward to it.

Initial Reaction: It's pretty good and although I'm not a fan of food play the movie was saved by some very nice chemistry.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: As usual with Digital Playground, the technical aspects show some very nice care. The audio is clear and well balanced, and I didn't notice any background noises. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks great. There's a touch of grain in a few places which seems more like it was there deliberately, and the lighting and camera work were very nicely done.

Music: There's a little music here and there through the movie. Sometimes it rests quietly in the background and sometimes it's the only audio. No matter what the balance, it normally helps the scenes more than it hinders them.

Menus: The main menu nicely blends a bit of animation, a few clips from the movie, and a bit of the cover still for a good first impression. The chapter menu is pretty basic, and lets you choose a scene based on a clip of the scene, a chapter number (which doesn't correspond to the chapters in the movie), and the girl's name for her first chapter.

The Feature

Shay Jordan Juice brings together six scenes that are held together by style more than anything else. There's often a food play theme in the scenes, but it isn't in every scene.

Shay heads to the fridge wearing a short jean jacket with what looks like Ed Hardy panties and breaks out some milk that she spills down her front a few times. She pours it over her tits before she's caught by Ben, who's none too happy about the mess she's making. He takes her to the bathtub and has her get in before pouring the milk over her from head to toes. I would have liked the scene to have lasted at least one more position, but this is still a pretty good scene.

This is a darn hot scene. The opening is playful and fun, and the chemistry between James and Shay does nothing but increase as the scene goes on. I was amazed when he picked her up and fucker her in a midair doggie, but there's great chemistry and energy from start to finish between them. This is easily one of the best scenes in the movie.

Shay enjoys a green sucker in a bathroom stall wearing more Ed Hardy panties along with a red spaghetti strap top, pink legwarmers, and yellow porno pumps. This scene just didn't work for me. It's easily the most artistic scene in the movie, and has a fast and furious style that just didn't do anything for me. The camera work is almost all closeups and the segments are extremely short and edited together with clips like the film's at the end of the reel. I just couldn't get into this scene.

There's also some nice energy and vocals and the scene moves along at a nice pace. Although the opening isn't quite my thing, Ruby and Tommy have enough going on between them to still make this scene work.

This is another very enjoyable scene. As usual the food play doesn't do much for me, but Marco and the girls play into it with such a fun spirit that it's very hard not to like it. There's also plenty of energy and great vocals to keep the scene moving. This is another of my favorite scenes in the movie, and it definitely helps the movie to close on a high note.

Shay Jordan Juice is a pretty hot release. Although it isn't in every scene, there's a lot of food play throughout the movie and food play just doesn't do a lot for me. Beyond the food play, however, this is a very nice release. There's a lot of attention put into the outfits, and I doubt one's going to find as much Ed Hardy clothing in a movie as you will here. There's also a lot of chemistry in each of the scenes, which is the main reason this release was able to work for me as well as it did with how much food play was involved. Shay's scene with James Deen and her final scene with Eva Angelina and Marco Banderas were easily the best in the movie for me, but the only one that didn't work for me was her solo scene where the artistic style just didn't do anything for me. Shay Jordan Juice is a fun fuck flick with enough chemistry to get it past the rough parts.

The Extra Stuff

The photo gallery can be viewed either manually or as a slide show lasting a little under four minutes with about six seconds per very nice looking snapshot or full screen photo. Trailers are included for Pirates 2, Island Fever 4, Icon, Shay: All American Girl, Jana: Sexual Freak 4, Image, Pirates, the Virtual Sex With... series. There's also weblinks, a behind the scenes featurette, and cumshot recaps.

The behind the scenes featurette lasts almost ten minutes. Shawnee starts out with a few words and plenty of eye candy as well as a few outtakes from the scene. There's also a cute brunette who has a few words with the camera who's supposed to take on Rico Strong but who doesn't appear anywhere in the movie. Shay is next, who talks about how much dick she's getting in the movie before working with Robby for the scenes and shooting them. Finally, there's Ruby, who talks about being into Marine biology (as in fish and whales instead of those serving in the military). Finally there's a few black and white pictures and a few outtakes. This is an okay behind the scenes featurette. There's some of the usual Digital Playground fun mixed in, but for the most part it seemed kind of short and choppy and always left me wanting more.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Digital Playground’s bigger releases can be found online for between about $18 and $28 with a few stores offering them for under $20. If you're a fan of food play this one's probably worth the big bucks, but there's enough chemistry here to be worth the rental price otherwise. There's some nice style and great chemistry through the movie, along with the usual nice care put into the technical aspects. There's also a bit of effort put into the extras with a behind the scenes featurette. This is a pretty good release even though I'm not much into the food play.

Note to Digital Playground: The lack of Rico Strong's scene in the movie that's shown in the BTS is more than noticeable. If there was something that didn't work with it, it would have been nice to have had it included as a deleted scene with an explanation.
