Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects show some very nice care. The audio is clear and well balanced, and although there are some background noises they're pretty obviously deliberate to help with the overall feel of the locations. The video is presented in anamorphic widescreen and looks very nice. It's clear, well lit, and has a smooth hand on the camera. There's also some nice attention to detail with the technical aspects with little things such as having TV footage presented in a matted full screen ratio with a slightly weaker audio quality.

False Advertising: “Interviews” are listed among the other extras on the back cover making it appear that there is a full interview segment in the extras instead of just some interviews worked into the other featurettes. That is not the case here, so I'm deducting a half point from the overall score.

The Movie: Over three decades ago, Sylvester Stallone hit gold with Rocky, a tale of an out of luck boxer with a one in a million shot at the big time. After Rocky hit won both critical and popular acclaim, it went on to spawn numerous sequels. Here Anthony Rosano takes on the title role as Will Ryder and the X-Play group bring together Rocky and Rocky III in this porn parody.

I'll confess to never having seen a single Rocky movie, but for what little I know about them and can pick up online the story here feels very reverent to Rocky and Rocky III. Anthony Rosano does a great job channeling Stallone, and Andy San Dimas looks every bit as good taking on Talia Shire. Mr. Marcus and Tyler Knight nicely channel Carl Weathers and Mr. T. with Jack English taking on Burgess Merideth's trainer role extremely well (and thankfully keeping his clothes on throughout the movie). The story is nicely simplified to balance the boxing aspect and the romance between Rocky and Adrian, and has a nice flow that never seems too be rushing things too much despite working together two movies into one nearly two hour porno. There's great chemistry between Anthony and Adrian to make the romance angle work, and the boxing segments are nicely captured. As for the porno aspect, Ryder once again does a nice job. The sex is couples friendly but has nice chemistry with each pairing working well. Andy and Anthony definitely score in each of their scenes, and I love how the movie starts out with an oral scene focusing on the woman. Chastity and Lily each do a great job getting their dose of black cock, but sadly Tyler's pop shot was beyond disappointing and brought down an otherwise hot scene a notch. Madison Ivy closes things out, and as usual turns out a smoking hot scene (and as Madison's fans know, smoking is one of the things she does best!). If you're at all excited about the thought of Rocky being turned into a porn parody, you should be very pleased with Rocky XXX.

The Extras: Trailers are included for five other releases. The photo gallery lasts nearly eight minutes. There's also multiple behind the scenes featurettes and commercials.

The behind the scenes featurette is split into two parts with each part lasting about twenty minutes. After a few shots around the set Andy San Dimas talks about her role and working with Anthony. Lily gives a little eye candy and a few words about herself before shooting a bit of the movie with Tyler and the rest of the cast. Lily and Andy return to chat quite a bit more among segments of the movie being shot in the first part of the BTS, as well as working in a bit with Will Ryder and Jack English. The second BTS starts out with a bit of fight footage and extra action between Lily and Tyler. Andy talks about growing as an actress, parodies, and her role among plenty of the movie being made in different locations and Lily and Tyler having more fun. This is a very nice pair of behind the scenes featurettes. It would have been nice to have a bit of Anthony and Mr. Marcus included, but Andy San Dimas is fantastic in her interviews and Lily LaBeau and Tyler Knight also come off very well. This is a very good addition to the overall DVD.

The Director / Producer travelogue lasts about twenty six minutes. Director Will Ryder and producer Scott David talk about the costumes as well as the cast and why they stood out to them for their roles. There's plenty of stories about making the movie as well as glimpses back at past Will Ryder and Scott David movies. There's even some very nice credit given to the crew and the job they do. This is a very nice addition to the overall DVD.

The Making of the Soundtrack featurette lasts about twenty five minutes. Jeff Mullen talks about the original score and the challenge of keeping the score extremely familiar without getting sued. You get a bit of the music being played together cut with clips from the movie before moving through some of the different musicians. There's also a bit of the individual instruments being mixed together to come up with the full orchestration. There's some nice attention given to the love theme as well as the fight sequence rather than just focusing on the main theme, and through it all Jeff Mullen shows a great knowledge of music as well as plenty of skill as a musician. This is a very nicely done featurette that's well worth checking out.

Note to Adam & Eve / X-Play: Please watch your cover claims a little better. It's never fun to penalize a release that shows this much care and effort due to sloppy cover work.
