Introduction

Private returns again with the things that made of them one of the most powerful porn corporations: simple but efective plot, nice girls and boys, great and exotic locations and good filmming. One of those films is Pleasure Island.

Extended opinion

First at all, fans of Julia Taylor, buy it inmediately!
Julia is the main star in this film and she looks awesome in this film. I’ve never seen that girl as good as on this film (at least these days) and it’s a powerful reason to buy this disc. But if you like other girls… no problem, Rita Faltoyano, Sandra Russo and Jessica May also appear. The locations are quite good, with some beach places and that stuff. The plot offers some game, but it’s not as good as it should (that’s probably the worst in this film). But Adamo erase that with good (or, in the worst cases, decent) sex scenes, with good gaining in the lights stuff, blur (but not disturbing) effects in some shots and some slow motion in some highlights (well, I personally don't like this last one, but it's OK anyway). The plot, though it's quite corny, it's OK, but don't expect surprises. My favourite scenes in this DVD are the fourth (with classic Julia Taylor DP scene) and the two last, with Julia too but more people around.
The style is Europorn, but not completely. In fact, some ideas remind to me to some American good porn films (I can't remember which ones).

The DVD

Good DVD Menus! Though I don’t like the music, the menus have a good look, with clean picture quality and great sound quality, though it’s not 5.1 mix. The extras are good, with good trailers (I usually like the Private Reality number x trailer, but add to this another good value, The Private Life of Julia Taylor, which looks interesting), photobook (nice stills) and the typical making of with some behind the scenes footage. Quite good.

Overall Thoughts

As I've said in Fever review, Private has some good films in all of their labels, not just high budget movies. This is one of the medium budget style, but it's very good, better than Fever. I recommend this to give a chance for everybody, even for raincoaters, because I think we should remember our past to understand our present.
