The Short Story

Initial Expectations: The extremely little I've seen from Black Widow has been pretty good. It looks like they're going for something new here, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

Initial Reaction: It's unique and artistic, but I can't say that I did much for me.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody wanting artistic animated sex

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who doesn't like animated anal or who wants animation with real looking people.

The Technical Stuff

Audio /Video Quality: The technical aspects reminded me of a high quality video game. The audio is clear and well balanced, but being an animated movie there isn't really any worries about background noises. The video really gives the gaming feel. The princess moves with a stiff and repetitive feel that came off as a bit cheesy as there's very little of the movie when she's not fucking and sucking.

Music: There's music throughout the entire movie, which is nicely balanced with the rest of the audio. It varies in style slightly with each scene, but is always very repetitive and quickly gets a bit annoying.

Menus: The main menu is okay, and works together a foggy look with a few stills. The chapter menu is extremely generic, and lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of each scene and scene numbers.

The Feature

In a distant galaxy far, far away, or maybe closer than we think, when a princess comes of age she has to chose a husband. Five princes have come from neighboring worlds to see which one of them can satisfy her, as only one who is able to completely satisfy the princess will be able to marry her. Luckily the princess has five nights to test them...

Scene 1 – The Princess and an Elf Alien

After laughing at the size of her elf-like first companion's cock, she quickly learns how much it can grow and sits upon it with a leg over each side as he's pushed against the back wall. He shrinks it back to a more manageable size for the princess and hops onto a tree stump to get it up to a nice height for her to suck before fucking her from behind. He tongues her ass before lying back on some kinda alien bearskin rug for the princess to ride him cowgirl style. They get in a bit of doggie fucking for each of the princess's holes before he launches a huge load on her back.

This scene just didn't do much for me. There's a little humor at first, but the action is stiff and extremely repetitive. It's repetitive from the motions to the music, and left me thinking that the entire scene wouldn't lose a thing being watched in fast forward. This scene started the movie off on a low note for me.

Scene 2 – The Princess and a Robot

The Princess finds her next suitor to be a robot with one wheel to get around and pincers for hands. Her apprehension turns to curiosity as his front opens up and a dildo comes out. She gets on all fours for the robot to jackhammer her ass, and then lets him hold her upside down to give her a dildo in the mouth while a tongue-like one snakes around her pussy. She lays back for it to work on her pussy missionary style before it takes her ass doggie style again. Finally, it squirts some purplish goo all over.

This is an okay scene. I got a little more used to the style here, and did appreciate some of the creativity. That said, I also couldn't help but have strings of foot fetish jokes go through my head as I watched this scene. There's some decent creative ideas here, but the scene didn't come close to turning me on.

Scene 3 – The Princess and a Flower-like Alien

The princess finds a large flower waiting for her next. She isn't sure what's going on at first, but starts sucking on a tentacle and rubbing her pussy after looking at the flower for a moment or two. The flower moves the tentacles around to fuck her pussy and then both holes at once before tying her up in midair to “tongue” her pussy before spewing some green goo all over her.

I guess this scene would technically be veggie sex? I couldn't help but wonder how much weed was involved in creating this scene. It's beautiful and trippy, but also made me laugh almost the entire time. This scene entertained me, but I doubt it was in the way it was supposed to.

Scene 4 – The Princess and a Silvery Clone

The princess starts out the penultimate scene walking up a staircase to find a mirror at the other end. As she reaches out to touch it, she's drawn into a bubbly world where she meets a silvery clone of herself that sucks her tits and works on her cunt with its tongue and fingers. A double dong floats through the air that gets put to work on the princess's pussy before the clone tongues her ass and fucks that with the toy. They share the dildo until they both have an orgasm.

This is an okay scene. It has a nice look and flow to it, and was easily the most “mainstream” scene to the movie. The toy was nice, and the scene ended up holding my interest pretty well. This is a pretty decent scene, and easily one of the best in the movie.

Scene 5 – The Princess and a Monster

The Princess slides down a long slide to find a monstery suitor waiting for her at the bottom. It belches out a bunch of creatures that seem bats with cocks for heads, and lets one of then fuck her pussy with its tail as it flaps above her. It moves down to fuck her with its head, and keeps it up as she stands up. She bends over the table for it to fuck her asshole as a second one flies into her mouth. Not surprisingly, they team up on her holes next before the monster lets go with stuff everywhere.

This is an okay scene. It's halfway a solo scene, but at the same time works as a group scene. There's some good creativity going for this scene, and it generates a little heat as well. This is a good scene to finish things with, and another of the best scenes in the movie.

The Princess Has Come of Age is a unique animated adult film. There's clearly some good effort put into the technology, and there's plenty of creativity as well. I couldn't help but wonder what some of the sketches were like that the movie must have came from, as well as being disappointed that they weren't included on the DVD as an extra. Although creative and artistic, the movie still didn't really do anything for me. I frequently found myself chuckling at it, but never feeling like it was supposed to be a comedy. I also frequently found myself a bit bored, and due to the repetitive nature of the animation and music I never felt like I might be missing something. There's some great creativity to The Princess Has Come of Age, but it never meshes too well with the sex.

The Bottom Line:

Currently, many of Black Widow's DVDs can be found online for between about $20 and $28. I just can't see paying that kind of money for this one. If you're interested, I'd suggest renting it because it is unique and creative, but it also didn't do a lot for me and I can't see it having much replay value. The technical aspects are good, but there's virtually no effort put into the extras. This is a different DVD that puts all its effort into the main feature.

Note to Black Widow: Although this one didn't do much for me, it was really cool to see you trying something different and creative.
