Initial Expectations: I’ve heard great things about Kramski’s work, and am going in with pretty high expectations.

Initial Reaction: Mixed. It’s very artistic, which is great but sometimes interferes with the heat. I definitely enjoyed it, but it’s not always good wanking material.

Audio /Video Quality: The artistic feel of the movie is greatly helped by the technical aspects. The audio is clear, but frequently dubbed. Although this is often a huge pet peeve of mine, it works here. The video is presented in non-anamorphic widescreen and appears to be shot on film. If not, Kramski really knows how to use his filters to make video look like film. It has some slight grain, but is normally well lit.

Music: The music has a heavy dance beat and really drives the feature well.

Disc Problems / Complaints: There’s no cast list anywhere on the movie. I have a feeling that this is the only time I’m going to see most of the stars, but I always like to see recognition given to them. I should also note here that I talked with one of Hustler’s reps in Vegas, and he told me that their DVDs will soon have a scene by scene cast listing, so this complaint will be a thing of the past.

Menus: The menus are nicely done. The main menu has some decent animation that gives the disc a great first impression. The chapter menu lets you choose a scene based on a small clip of the scene and a title for it.

The Feature: After an opening note to let you know that there are no fake titties in Porno Vision (YAY!), things kick right into gear. Each scene has its own style and is unrelated to any of the other scenes in the movie. There isn’t any lead-in to any of the scenes, and each scene is highly artistic.

A blonde starts things out taking on two guys wearing nylons over their head (the one on their shoulders). The guys and girl grope each other before she sucks a bit of cock, and afterwards she lets them play with her ass. Finally, they fuck it doggie style before giving her a nice double facial. The video is really different throughout the scene, and only lets you see certain areas clearly. It’s a pretty hot scene, and nicely lets you know that you’re not in for the same run of the mill porno from the first second of the scene. It’s a nice mix of fairly typical Euro-sex with some heavy artistic filming.

Things go in the lesbian direction next, as a girl with a mohawk pairs up with an oriental girl. The closest I can come to describing the opening feel of the scene is to say that it has a post-apocalyptic feel to it. The girls shave each other’s head, as well as down below, before getting to the really good stuff. They exchange oral affections in a 69, as well as fingering each other. Sadly, the scene cuts out feeling like there’s much more to go. Sadly, this is more typical than not for lesbian scenes, but this one still carries its own with more than a little heat. It’s a hot scene and I wish it would have went even longer.

The cover girl from Porno Vision finally makes her appearance, and gets busy with a blue couple. The grope each other a bit before the cover girl and blue girl team up to suck the blue guy’s cock. The redheaded cover girl gets fucked in a couple positions next, while the blue girl lets her tongue have a little fun between them. She finally sucks the guy to a facial and a pop on the other girls’s ass. It’s a borderline hot scene that has some very unique uses of color. The redhead does a decent job of mugging the camera throughout the scene, but something seemed right about it.

Next up, a brunette oils herself up and gets settled into an inflatable chair. She teases a little with a silver vibe before happily starting to jill herself off with her fingers, followed by the vibe, and finally with a string of silver balls. It’s a very good scene. The tease is every bit as strong as the masturbation, and makes the scene work extremely well.

A raven haired girl and a guy team up for the penultimate scene. In an interesting editing decision, the sex scene is cut with scenes of the girl showing up and getting ready for the scene. They exchange oral favors before he fucks her doggie style and lets her ride him reverse cowgirl before finally finishing things up spooning. Finally, he pops on her neck and mouth. It’s a borderline hot scene. Cutting the scene with the girl preparing for it in black and white is an interesting idea, and gives it a very artistic feel. Unfortunately, it also robs a little of the heat from the scene.

Finally, two brunettes get their groove on. One helps the other don her strap-on, and then sucks it a bit to make sure it’s “ready”. She’s rewarded with a pussy eating before she gets fucked doggie style and rides it reverse cowgirl style. Finally she gets her face fucked with it. It’s a very good scene that shows some nice attention to detail. You can see the bright red lipstick smudge on the “cock” from early in the scene carry through the entire scene. It gives the scene an added splash of color, and I have to admit to doing a double take a couple times when I saw the strap-on smeared with red flying around. It’s a good scene to end the feature with, and definitely leaves me wanting to see more from Kris Kramski.

Without a doubt, Porno Vision isn’t for everybody. Each scene is highly artistic, and in some places, reminded me a lot of Tanya Hyde with a lighter feel. It also had a bit of a magazine spread feel. Almost every instance in the film seemed like it could be captured for a photograph for an artistic adult magazine. There’s also a great variety to the scenes, so that if a person doesn’t like the feel of one scene they can easily skip ahead to the next scene and have a good chance of liking something there. That said, the artistic feel did have a tendency to steal away a little bit of the heat from the scenes here and there. I think Kris Kramski was going for a more artistic feel here, above and beyond even the normal feel of artistic porn. It’s definitely erotic, but it isn’t always erotic to the point that it’s great wanking material. It is, however, unique and beautiful, which made Porno Vision a big winner for me.

Extras: The photo gallery lasts a little under two minutes with about six seconds per very clear picture. Trailers are included for Porno Vision, Snoop Dogg’s Doggy Style, and the Barely Legal, Hustler XXX, and Mr. Beaver series. Of course, there’s also internet information

Overall: Currently, Porno Vision can be found online for between $20 and $30, with very few stores offering it near the low end. This seems a little high for what you get here, despite having an excellent transfer. The movie’s highly artistic but short, and there isn’t much for extras.

Note to Hustler: This is one of those discs that would have been greatly helped out by the cast listing for each scene. It’s great to see you supporting the widescreen format, but in the future I hope you take it all the way to anamorphic widescreen.
