Initial Expectations: Tanya Hyde has amazed me with her other features, such as Hell, Whores, and High Heels, which gives me constant high expectations for her work.

Initial Reaction: It’s definitely Hyde, which makes it some of the best fetish stuff out there.

Who Should Watch It : Anybody who wants something different, fetish fans, and raincoaters

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who thinks companies like Vivid, VCA, and Wicked push things a little too far

Audio /Video Quality: It’s kind of hard to judge this area since Tanya Hyde has a very creative feeling to all of her movies. There’s a lot of motion, both slow, fast, and stop motion which means that the audio often doesn’t come close to the video. Of course, it isn’t supposed to, so you can’t really say that it’s bad outside of a completely personal call. The video is much the same way. It mixes both the full and wide screen formats, as well as color and black (or blue, red, green, etc.) and white tones. There’s some over lighting and under lighting, but once again, I think almost all of it is due to Tanya Hyde’s vision. It’s a fairly surreal movie, and isn’t supposed to look crystal clear s if you’re peeping on the neighbor’s house. That said, there do seem to be a few transfer problems. At one point the screen flashes about half full of large colored squares, or pixels. There’s also several spots where there are flashes of black horizontal lines as if the film master was badly scratched. I’ve only seen a few of Tanya Hyde’s features, but these problems didn’t seem at all her style.

Music: The music changes almost scene by scene. It contains styles such as hard techno, an older vaudevillian style, and some typical dance porn music. The balance varies, but it’s frequently either very loud or the only audio. Although I normally wouldn’t care for this style, it fits Tanya Hyde’s style extremely well.

Menus: The menus are pretty simple. The main menu includes a small clip of the feature, and incorporates the chapter menu.

The Feature: Xtreme Desires follows Monique Covet as she explores London. We see her fantasies, as well as her exposing herself while sightseeing as a narrator gives a little background. It’s all done through Tanya Hyde’s extremely artistic eyes, which as usual, puts things in a whole new perspective.

Dungeon starts things out on a dark note. Monique is in black fetishwear and fucking herself with an iridescent dildo as the scene starts. After preparing herself properly, she takes on Mike Foster, John Walton, and another slaves, all in masks and one of whom is wearing a dildo mask. He starts probing her pussy with his mask, but is soon replaced by the prodding fingers and cocks of the remaining guys who work over each of her holes, including double stuffing her. She finishes things off getting sprayed all over with spooge, including her gaping asshole. It’s a pretty hot scene, and fairly normal compared to many of Tanya Hyde’s scenes that I’ve seen.

In Doctors Laura Angel starts out with a mask giving her gas while black and red vinyl clad “doctor” Silvia Saint works on her pussy with a large dildo. Apparently Laura doesn’t have too good of insurance, since Silvia soon after puts the dildo away and goes to work on her with her tongue and fingers while making Laura give a little back in a sixty nine. They’re joined by two doctors, one of whom I think might be Tony deSerggio, and get some nice group action going. Laura sucks one while Silvia eats her pussy and gets fucked by another. They keep things moving around, and even keep it in a nice circle so everybody can join in. Silvia finishes things taking one pop on her face and tits, while Laura takes the other pop on her back. It’s another hot scene, with both girls really shining. Silvia Saint has often had a kind of detached look to her in her scenes, and there’s a detachment that’s often present in Tanya Hyde’s scenes that make them fit perfectly together. Laura Angel, as she has been in almost every scene I’ve watched her in, does a great job and takes on both Silvia and the guys as well as ever.

Bad Girls pairs Silvia Saint with Mina and Sorrica. They all starts out in stockings, a mesh top, and red wigs that make each of them look like Ronald McDonald’s slutty sister. One at a time they get tongued by Mina as they bend over. Things move on with spiked chairs and Sorrica with a strap on before the girls are joined by two masked men, and no I’m not talking about the Lone Ranger. They girls celebrate having the real thing, and Mina even takes a DP. Sorrica is left out of the final fun, however, as Mina takes a pop in her mouth and Silvia takes one on her stomach. It’s an okay scene that didn’t really do that much for me.

In Nurses fetish nuns Fovea and Mina finds salvation in the form of a cock. They quickly strip each other out of their latex habits, except for the headgear and rosaries, and let their tongues start to run wild across each other. Fovea helps the pink bandage clad patient find his way to consciousness, and soon after is riding his cock. They’re soon joined by doctor Mike Foster, who Mina starts to take care of since Fovea is busy healing the patient. Mina sucks him off and then fucks him until he adds a little extra something to her bush. Fovea takes care of the patient with a little added anal care, and also gets her pussy decorated. It’s a very well done and very hot scene. I have to admit that after a Catholic upbringing I was a little uncomfortable during some of this scene, but it definitely has Tanya Hyde’s style.

Toilets the penultimate scene, pairs Monique Covet with Mina and Tony deSerggio. Tony is apprehended by a Monique and Mina, who appear to be the fetish police. A pair of panties is wrapped around his head and he’s given a little discipline before eating a little pussy. As he gets head from Mina, Monique puts on a strap on and starts fucking Mina. Still wearing her fake cock, Monique gets boned by Tony, and then returns the favor to him. They fuck his ass in a few positions before they let him have his way with them again. Neither girl appears to take it in the ass, which surprised me, and they also take a pretty average pop on their faces. It’s a hot scene, and very tame for what Tanya Hyde normally does in a scene. It starts off very hard, but seemed kind of anticlimactic.

Finally, there is Chaos, with Laura Angel, Sorrica, John Walton, and Kevin Long joining Monique. Kevin concentrates on Sorrica for the most part while Laura starts out fucking John in a love swing with Monique apparently watching it all since she soon appears and starts rimming one of the guys. The action moves around fast and furiously, and it’s very hard to keep track of anything outside of the three girls are getting fucked in each of their holes and appear to be really into it. Laura and Monique take the pop shots, on the back and front respectively, with Monique getting a few extra pokes in each hole after she’s decorated. It’s another hot scene, but was much harder to follow than the others. This brought it down a little for me, but not so much as to cause much of a problem.

Xtreme Desires seems like a good place for many people to start checking out Tanya Hyde’s work. It’s not quite as far out there as Hell, Whores, and High Heels, but still shows some great creativity. It’s fast and furious, full of colors and changes, all while focusing on some wild fetish fucking. The style makes it hard to pull out any favorite scene, but the Toilets, Nurses, and Doctors are the better half of the feature.

Overall: Currently, Xtreme Desires can be found between the amazingly low price of $7 and $30, with most stores offering it for over $20. At the low end, I can’t help but recommend this one. Tanya Hyde has a different style, but it’s worth checking out when it’s that low. The transfer is a bit above average, but it’s hard to tell due to some of Hyde’s style. Private’s standard extras are here, but nothing is too special.

Note to Private: It appears that this was one of your earliest DVD releases. It’s nice to see how far you’ve come as well as seeing how concerned about quality you were even back then.
