Initial Expectations: I watched the trailer for Perfectly Flawless a few weeks ago. It was a great trailer and gave me quite a bit of hope for the movie.

Initial Reaction: It’s a pretty good couples movie, but it’s lacking in several areas.

Audio /Video Quality: Both are lacking. The video is pretty average for the most part. There’s a slight grain and a flicker to the picture most of the time. Some of this may be due to the mastering technique used as a lot of the video has a feel kind of like in DMJ 6 . There’s also a small purple dot that appears every now and then, but it’s extremely noticeable in the third and final sex scenes. The audio is worse. A lot of the dialogue is very hard to hear. Most of it sounds kind of like when somebody stands too close to a microphone. It’s raspy and there isn’t really any tone to it. It’s really too bad since this is a plot driven adult film.

Music: The music is by Saint and is a light techno feel. It’s almost hypnotic in a few places. It’s balanced very well with the rest of the audio.

False Advertising: Of course, there’s the time difference, but that’s pretty minor here. The cover states that the DVD has an interactive game and behind the scenes footage. I couldn’t find either of them on the DVD. The game doesn’t seem like too big of a deal to me, as I haven’t really heard of any that were that worthwhile, but I know many might like them. The behind the scenes, however, really irks me. I really enjoy watching some of the behind the scenes on adult films.

Disc Problems: I couldn’t get the ‘Hot Shot’ feature to work on my player.

Review: Perfectly Flawless starts out very strong with a well-equipment person stealing jewelry. There’s some decent action and suspense that’s aided by the gizmos that make thief movies fun. The decent camera work also helps it out a lot. I admit that I had high expectations going into Perfectly Flawless and this opening didn’t do anything to dampen my hopes. The rest of Perfectly Flawless has a pretty good plot, especially for an adult film. It alternates between two stories, both of which revolve around a priceless jewel collection with most of the value in one huge stone.

Joey Ray heads the first story as Adrian, a recently released ex-con who’s trying to get his life back together while figuring out who sent him up the creek. He hooks up with his old friend Jerry (Damian Michaels) and much of their past is dealt with through flashbacks between them. Of course, most of the history between them involves sex, such as Jerry sleeping with Adrian’s sister (McKayla). Adrian misses his wife (Felicia Ryder) rather than the rush of the heist, and she’s his major motivation for going straight. He doesn’t know that she and Jerry have been hooked up for quite a while. As an ex- con he doesn’t get his choice of jobs and ends up as a janitor in the museum displaying a priceless collection of flawless jewels that everybody has their eyes on. He ends up with a key card and is torn between going straight and heisting the gem he know will set him up for the rest of his life.

The second story revolves around Tanya Grant (Ava Vincent) who works at the gallery where the collection is being displayed. She doesn’t get out much and I’m sure everybody will agree that she needs to be fucked as soon as they see her. I’ve heard some state that they think she’s too pretty to be in porn and they might be right. She’s involved with Holly (Charlene Aspen) and it appears that they too might be trying to figure out how to lift the stones. She accidently drops the key card which Adrian picks up.

The sex ranges from okay to very good. I took an almost immediate dislike to Damian Michaels. Maybe it’s his character, but he just seemed like a slimeball to me. He’s in two scenes, so it lowered the sex appeal of the movie for me. The first scene pairs him with Felicia Ryder, an obviously enhanced brunette. Although it’s an okay scene, it didn’t do much for me. I had a lot higher hopes for his second scene once I saw that it was with McKayla, whom I find very cute. Sadly, McKayla seemed mechanical, so I didn’t think the scene was nearly as good as what it might have been. Both scenes suffered from a lack of chemistry and brought down the sexual aspect of the movie. It might not have been such a big deal if this wasn’t a porno.

Both Ava and Charlene, on the other hand, shine quite well in both of their scenes. Their first scene is with each other and has a nice bit of toy usage. Both girls really put their all into this scene and it ends up being one of the best scenes in the movie. I was slightly disappointed that Charlene’s later scene was limited to a blowjob with Mark Davis. Ava’s second scene is with Joey. It’s the final scene in the movie and it’s set up very well. The sex revolves around the jewel which is a neat touch.

Finally, there’s Joey’s scene with Maya. This was a very hot scene and my favorite scene in the movie. Maya plays a waitress and invites Joey into the café after hours for some coffee and hair pie. Maya’s a hot number and they work very well together. I really wish she hadn’t massacred her chest for a little extra size, but she’s extremely cute and has amazing eyes. I’ve watched this scene several times and it still haven’t gotten old. I hope to see a lot more of Maya in the future.

In the end, although Perfectly Flawless puts out a mighty effort, it isn’t completely successful. The sex isn’t bad, but a lot of it seems uninspired, despite the talented cast. The looks of some of the cast, such as Damian Michaels, also knocked it down a little for me. The plot also suffers a little. It has some good ambition, but it seems like the total time for the movie was set for when it was made and the plot was trimmed back to make the desired time. It ends up having a lot of plot holes, which isn’t uncommon for pornos, but it also ends up being a little confusing. The technical aspects also hurt the movie as some of the dialogue is hard to understand and there are some visual distractions as well. Although Perfectly Flawless had great potential, in the end, the movie ends up being only slightly above average.

Extras: Unlike most Adam & Eve releases, the photo gallery is automated. It doesn’t have a time code, like most automated photo galleries, but the stills last about five seconds each with a total running time of about a minute and a half. The pictures are pretty clear.

The cast section covers Charlene Aspen, Ava Vincent, Felicia Ryder, Joey Ray, Mark Davis, and Maya Devine. Although it doesn’t give much personal information, it does give each person’s height, weight, and measurements, at least for the ladies. It also adds a link to each scene the performer is in. This is a new touch for Adam & Eve’s biography / cast section and one that I’m happy to see.

Of course, there’s also trailers. You can’t have a DVD without trailers. Some of Adam & Eve’s top recent releases are here including The Collector, Devoured, and Taboo of Tarot .

The usual Adam & Eve extras are here also such as the ‘Hot Shot’ link in the chapter menu, a web link, and a phone sex commercial. Although the ‘Hot Shot’ doesn’t work while watching the movie, there is a ‘Hot Shot’ menu which allows you to watch nothing but the climaxes. I’m just thankful that Adam & Eve doesn’t force us to watch the phone sex commercials like some other companies do.

Themes: Straight, lesbian, anal, spanking, and toys.

Raincoat Factor: Medium low. There’s quite a bit of sex, but it’s very couples oriented.

Overall: Currently, Perfectly Flawless can be found online for between $16 and $23 with only one store offering it for under about $20. This seems a little high. The technical aspects really hold back what would be a really good movie. There are also extras advertised on the cover which aren’t on the DVD.

Note to Adam & Eve: Please pay a little more attention to the features listed on your covers. It really irked me when neither the game or the behind the scenes weren’t on the DVD. Since both of these were advertised and it seems extremely careless to leave them out, I rated the extras a point lower than I would if they wouldn’t have been advertised on the cover and the overall DVD a half a point. If a mistake happens where something is left out after the DVDs are printed, please make new covers. I doubt this would affect your cost much and it would lead to much more satisfied customers.
