Synopsis:
On February 19, 1995, Pamela Anderson became Pamela Anderson Lee through her now dissolved marriage to ex-Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee. After the marriage, as with most couples, the Lee's went on their honeymoon and the festivities were videotaped for their personal use. In 1997, the tapes were stolen and started to appear on the internet. Eventually, after originally suing the Internet Entertainment Group (IEG), the Lee's gave them permission to distribute the film for a limited time.

Cut Warning:
Although this is the only legal version of the film, there have been some cuts made from the original unauthorized internet bootlegs. First, all the faces except for the Lee's have been digitized. Second, all scenes involving illegal drug use have been cut from the film.

Audio/Video:
The available audio track is an English 2.0 mono track, which is very decent considering its origin. The audio levels vary throughout but are usually clear and easy to hear. There are some places with problems due to wind interference on the camcorder microphone. No other language tracks and no subtitle options are available.

Pam & Tommy Lee: Hardcore & Uncensored is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. As the film was originally filmed with a personal camcorder on various tape stock, the quality of the picture varies throughout. In some places, the picture quality is decent with a soft picture and correct color levels. In other places, the picture quality verges on being very poor with a very soft picture and contains grain and washed out color levels. Thankfully there is more of the first than the latter. There are no video glitches or artifacts that I can remember from the presentation. The video quality is better than the original internet bootlegs and probably the best that we will ever see for this film.

Special Features:
As far as the extras go, this film is rather bare. There is a photo gallery containing 38 stills from the feature film and an advert for the IEG web site. On the B side of the disc Vivid has included eight bonus sex scenes from unlabeled Vivid films.

Navigation:
There are nine chapters available from the main menu. They are identified by a video clip from the area of the film that they go to. There is also a time code encoded on the disc for the feature film. These combined allow for decent navigation through the disc for the feature film, but it could be much better.

General Review:
Remember when reading this review and making a purchasing decision, this film is not your standard adult film. It is home video and was never intended when being filmed for public consumption. That said, the technical levels of the film are horrible. No consideration for lighting was ever taken into account when making the videos. Some portions are way to dark causing grain in the picture and some portions were filmed directly into the sun. The picture is often shaky as the camcorder was hand held. The picture is sometimes out of focus and there are occasions when the camera is wildly spinning around.

As this is considered an adult release, I should get into the sexual portions of the film. As far how you'll feel about attractive the cast is depends on how you like the two stars. Pam looks good, but is sporting some bruises on her shoulder and Tommy is all marked up with tattoos. Although Tommy Lee isn't even close to being shy when he is in front of the camera, in a surprise turn, Pam is very inhibited when she is in front of the camera. This is a surprise since she hasn't shied away from exposing herself in front of the camera in the past and since this was made for personal use. When she is behind the camera, she doesn't seem to be as shy though.

As for the sex scenes themselves, there is little to please all but the most dedicated fans of either star. Remember, this is amateur video, so the sex scenes don't have wonderful camera shots, but just the view point of one of the participants or one line of shot from a stationary position. There are three scenes where Pam gives Tommy a blow job. For the one in the car, her hair is usually in the way. The best of these is the one on the boat culminating in a hand job by Pam. There are three penetration scenes as wee, but only one of them has a cum shot. The camera angles are rather poor for the three penetration scenes. Needless to say, all of the sex scenes in the film are very short and all together probably amount to less than eight minutes of time.

There are some nice nude shots of Pam Anderson, but you can see much better nude shots of her in either her 1992 Playboy video, Playboy Video Centerfold: Pamela Anderson or her 1995 Playboy video, The Best of Pamela Anderson. For those of you who have wanted to see Tommy Lee in the nude, there is much present here to please you. With all the fallacies of this film, it is still the only way you can currently see these stars having sex and although it could be possible that Tommy Lee may make another film in the future, judging from Pam's reaction to the camera, I don't think we'll ever see anything like this from her getting officially released again. The sexual themes in the film are oral (female to male) and vaginal sex with a hand job. For viewers who care about such things, Tommy Lee never wears a condom on his schlong.

Viewers who will get the best viewing experience from this film are those who don't go into this film looking for a sex film, but go into the film looking for a glimpse into the lives of these stars. Some viewers will see an intimate look at a fresh new couple in love, and others will see the Clampetts go to Lake Mead. Those who view this as the former will probably get more enjoyment from this film that those who view this film as the latter.

Parting Thoughts:
I can only recommend a purchase of Pam & Tommy Lee: Hardcore & Uncensored to devoted fans of either Pamela Anderson or Tommy Lee. Although this disc makes for an interesting curiosity item, I recommend all other interested viewers rent before purchasing.
