Initial Expectations: I wasn’t too impressed with North Pole 13 , but with this group of ladies, I’m definitely willing to give it another chance.

Initial Reaction: Although the technical aspects are still lacking, the sex is good enough that I’m going to be checking out more of this series.

Who Should Watch It : Fans of any of the cast, raincoaters

Who Should Avoid It: Anybody who wants a plot or good technical qualities

Audio /Video Quality: The audio is pretty average. The balance is frequently off and it frequently echoes and includes some background noises. The video is very clear. The only complaint I have about it is there is quite a bit of slow motion, which I hate.

Music: The music is pretty typical porno music. It ranges from being so quiet in the background that you can barely hear it to overpowering all the other audio in the scene.

Menus: The menus are pretty basic, but do include a nice way to identify some of the cast. Most of the menu screens include a shot of one of the girls with their name on the screen. It’s not as nice as actually having a bio for the girls, but at least you can easily recognize them.

The Feature: Peter North’s North Pole series has been a long running series for Digital Sin. Peter North leads the cast, as well as directing and producing, in a feature filled with fucking without all the fast forward fucking. He’s normally had some top list names in the series also, such as Jewel De’Nyle and Silvia Saint. This time, however, he has the amazing Lea De Mae.

Dominicia Leoni starts out North Pole 16 with Peter North. Unlike the rest of the feature, this one has a little setup, but it doesn’t take long and falls aside quickly. Dominicia walks up to Peter’s house looking extremely fuckable, which is a very good thing in a porn movie, in a red dress and silver shoes that lace around her calf up to her knees and joins Peter on a bench by a pond with a waterfall. She and Peter start off with some decent kissing before Peter drops down to eat her pussy. It’s a nice pussy, but it’s not nearly as enjoyable to watch as her oral skills, which she shows off next. She puts her eyes to great use as she sucks off Peter, occasionally giving a naughty little smile which makes it a great blowjob to watch. She continues to provide a lot of heat as Peter starts fucking her, and they work through several positions with both vag and anal sex. Finally, Peter unloads his cream filling all over her face and into her mouth, which Dominicia doesn’t shy away from at all. It’s a hot scene and a good one to start out the feature with.

Gauge, an up and coming starlet with a very nice natural body, pairs up with Lee Stone for the next scene, which takes place on a couch in the middle of a staircase landing. Gauge looks okay here, but not as good as she has in some other scenes. She has quite a bit of stubble and what looks like it could have been some nasty rug burn. Lee starts out by eating her pussy as well as giving her asshole some good tongue action. She returns the favor by giving him a very good blowjob with some nice eyes. The fucking starts off okay, and has the only condom usage in the feature, but picks up as the scene goes. Gauge really seems to enjoy getting fucked from behind, as she puts more into that position that the couple positions before. Lee finishes it off with more of a dribble than a pop onto Gauge’s chin and chest. It’s an okay scene, but the weakest one in this feature.

Peter returns once again to join with Vanda, who was just about to take a bath. This is the first I’ve seen Vanda, but I’m positive it won’t be the last! She’s extremely cute and has pigtails in this scene. She also has a bit of stubble, but it’s consistent enough that it appears she might like a prickly bush. There’s a little bit of kissing before Peter tries a little lip reading between his cock and Vanda’s mouth. It’s apparently a great blowjob because Peter lets go with a little pop as they move between her blowjob and his muff munching. Peter takes his time eating Vanda out as she stands in front of him, no doubt taking a little longer so he can recover a little. When Peter finally makes it to the main event, which I had to admit I wondered about a little after the earlier pop, both he and Vanda get into it very well. There’s a lot of heat between them and it gets both of them moaning like crazy. Vanda finishes it off by taking Peter’s population pudding all over her mouth to finish off this very hot scene.

Aurora Snow teams up with Joey Ray in the second to the last scene. She walks into a patio around a pool where Joey’s swimming. Like any other guy who notices a babe that’s ready to get fucked, he hops out of the pool and comes out to kiss her knees, causing her to shed the few clothes she has on. He works his way in from her knees to her creamy center, with Aurora getting into it in her normal realistic manner with eyes closed in bliss. In a surprise just as amazing as a greedy politician, she reciprocates by giving him a little oral love before they fuck. Once again, Aurora really gets into getting fucked, and as usual provides a lot more natural reaction that most porn starlets out there. It’s a very refreshing change and a reason that I hope Aurora stays around for quite a while. Natural, however, doesn’t mean that she isn’t into it. She’s clearly really into Joey’s fucking her and it shows. She just doesn’t go through the normal routine that every other newcummer seems to think they have to. She finishes it off by taking Joey’s pop in her mouth and stating that she loves the taste. It’s a very hot ending to a hot scene.

Finishing things off is the amazing Lea De Mae. When I first agreed to review this DVD for Adult DVD Talk, I had heard a little about Lea but hadn’t seen anything with her at that time. Since then, I have had the pleasure of watching her in The Bride Wore Black where she did give me some hope for this scene. This time I was amazed and definitely hooked. There are only a few performers who have awed me like this in one of the first couple performances I’ve seen from them, namely Angela Summers, Julie Meadows, and Kimi Lixx. Peter does the right thing by starting out the scene by having Lea strip down and show off her body a little. For those of you who haven’t seen Lea yet, she’s a drop dead gorgeous blonde with an all natural body that many guys would probably give up one of their thumbs to be with. After showing off one of the modern wonders of the world, she drops down to suck Peter’s pole. It’s a very long blowjob but one that could go on forever with Lea’s style. Peter returns the favor by eating her pussy, but doesn’t take as long as Lea did for his oral love. Finally, they get to the main event. Peter fucks Lea’s pussy and ass in several different positions, with Lea looking as happy as a kid in a candy store the entire time up and through Peter decorating her face with gobs of guy goo. I think I had my jaw in my lap the entire scene, and not in the Ron Jeremy or Joel Lawrence kind of way, because I’m just not that flexible. I was in awe of the heat of this scene and I almost forgot all the other complaints I had about the rest of this DVD.

Although not perfect, North Pole 16 is darn good. The sex has good chemistry in almost all the scenes, and the girls are great. It’s a good sign when Gauge is the low end of the talent in a feature. At the top end there’s Lea De Mae, who makes this entire feature worthwhile. The main problem with the entire feature is that the technical aspects, especially the audio, has quite a few problems. It also uses quite a bit of slow motion, which I can’t stand. The sex, however, was hot enough that the technical aspects didn’t bring it down too much.

Extras: The photo gallery contains 24 very nice snapshots. The B-Side of the DVD contains Digital Sin’s standard extras, including trailers for most of Digital Sin’s releases and short featurettes with many of the girls who have appeared in their features. It’s a great package if it’s the first time you’ve watched the DVD, but next to worthless after that.

Overall: Currently, North Pole #16 can be found online for between $18 and $25 with several stores offering it for under $20. The scene with Lea De Mae alone is worth $18. The rest is like a really good bonus. Sadly, the technical aspects are average for a gonzo type release and the extras are also very average.

Note to Digital Sin: Please pay more attention to the technical values on this series. It’s been the main problem with both of the North Pole DVDs I’ve seen so far and it does hold them back.
