Initial Expectations: Adam & Eve’s standard releases have left a little to be desired in many instances, but the cast is good enough to give me some fairly high expectations at least for the feature.

Audio /Video Quality: As is frequently the problem with some of Adam & Eve’s lesser releases, the audio is very quiet. It’s normally pretty clear, but you have to remember to turn the volume back down before you listen to anything else. The video is pretty clear, but does show a little bit of grain. There’s also a little distortion along the bottom edge and a few focus problems.

Music: None

Menus: The main menu is extremely plain and not too impressive. The chapter menu is just as plain, offering a small clip of the scenes to choose from.

The Feature: No Regrets stars Tyce Bune as a private dick, as well as detective, who’s hired to try and find the missing Alexandra Silk. In addition to trying to find Alexandra, he’s also juggling a rich bitch wife, moving his office, and other personal problems. Luckily the people who hire him for other cases are willing to provide him with other information, such as the brothel, who’s inner workings we also get to see.

John Strong starts out with professionals Temptress, the former brunette Wicked contract girl who possesses a natural beauty had by few, and Elizabeth X, who’s often a redhead but is a brunette here and also possesses a great natural beauty. The girls play with each other a little as John watches before they turn their attention towards him. Finally, Tyce Bune flashes back to his time with Alexandra Silk. They warm each other up orally, with Alexandra giving Tyce some great head before having him fuck her. It’s a nice scene to end things with.

No Regrets is a kind of surprising feature. It has a bit of the feel of the 1940s detective movies, and comes close to turning it into a nice porno. The plot is fairly slow, but as it moves along it picks up a little. Tyce Bune, who probably remembers going to many of those 1940s detective features in the theater, is actually kind of likeable in the lead role and helps things out quite a bit. The sex varies, but most of it is a little better than average. With the exception of the opening scene, I can’t say that I felt like grabbing the remote while watching any of the scenes. The sex was helped out a little more for me because all of the girls were natural, rather than the silicon dolls that permeate so much of today’s porn. Although I can’t say I had no regrets watching this feature, it was enjoyable enough that I’m going to be keeping it around for quite a while.

Extras: Trailers are included for Sex Spell and Taboo of Tarot. The photo gallery lasts about a minute and three quarters with about five seconds per photo. The photos are a nice mix of full screen photos and snapshots, but many of them are slightly blurry. Finally, there’s website information.

Overall: Most stores seem to offer Adam & Eve’s titles for between $10 and $22. Although I wouldn’t recommend buying this near the top end, fans of the cast should be happy at the lower end. The plot is nicely done and the sex is a bit above average despite the cameraman’s attempts to ruin it. The transfer has a few problems, and the extras are also lacking.

Note to Adam & Eve: It’s great to see you bringing out some of your older titles that have some of today’s more popular stars. In the future, please try to clean them up a bit as the transfer lacked a bit here.
