Synopsis:
An all-sex gonzo feature with new female talent, as of the year 2000, in their first adult performances.

Video/Audio:
New Girls in Town is presented in the full screen aspect ratio, 1.33:1, which is the original aspect ratio for the film. The video quality for the film is uneven throughout the film. The portions filmed with a good camera are crystal clear with no blemishes or artifacts and the color levels are set perfectly. The portions filmed with a cheap camcorder are soft with no blemishes or artifacts and the color levels are off. The two intermixed with each other makes for an uneven film which may bother some viewers.

The available audio track is a 2.0 English mono track, in which during the interview with Rumika Power she speaks Romanian. There are burned in English subtitles for the Romanian dialog only. The audio balance is off during the film which can make some parts hard to hear with the volume set for comfortable room listening. There are no other language options and no other subtitle options available.

Chapters/Time Code:
There are seven chapters available from the main menu for New Girls in Town which is acceptable since one goes to each scene. It would have been nice if there were chapters that went to the interview portion and to the sex scenes themselves so that viewers could skip the interviews if they so choose. There is a time code for this feature so time searching is available.

Special Features:
Wicked has, as per their norm, loaded this disc with extras. Unfortunately, many of them are the standard Wicked extras and therefore not that interesting if you have already purchased some of Wicked's current discs. There are many disc specific extras, so I can't complain that much.

First up are the disc specific extras. There are four bonus masturbation scenes, one for Aurora Snow running for four minutes, one for Rumika Power running two minutes and 45 seconds, one for Scotti Andrews running one minute and 50 seconds and one for Zana running two minutes and 40 seconds. There are two bonus sex scenes with interviews that were cut from the film. One, which runs 12 minutes and 40 seconds, features Allisa and Jenna Haze in a lesbian scene that is in the same format as the scenes in the film. The other, which runs 15 minutes, features Krystal Steal and Jonathan Morgan in a male/female scene that is also in the same format as the scenes in the film. There are four star photo galleries each consisting of 20 photos on a track, one for Aurora Snow, Rumika Power, Scotti Andrews, and Zana. The standard Photo Gallery consists of 23 photos on a track.

Now on to the Wicked standard extras. There are the Wicked Pictures Promotional Reels from the adult conventions from 1998 to 2000 and the 2001 Essential Elements Reel. The AVN Awards - Winners and Nominations feature is a text feature that has all the Wicked Pictures films that have been nominated for an AVN award followed by the winners for the years of 1994 through 2001. The Company Profile is a text/audio feature that tells you information about Wicked Pictures. There is a short advert for the Free Speech Coalition on the disc. Available trailers on the disc are for: Dreamquest, Crazed, Double Feature!, Flashpoint, Heartache, Hell on Heels, Knockout, Pornogothic, Satyr, Sex Safari, Spellbound, The Bride of Double Feature!, The Kissing Game, and Working Girl.

DVD-ROM Special Features:
The DVD-ROM special features are the Wicked Web Hyperlink and the Wicked Casino. As I don't currently have access to a DVD-ROM drive, I have no further information on these extras.

Review:
New Girls in Town is a gonzo production from Jonathan Morgan and Wicked Pictures. It is filmed in standard gonzo style which means that there are times that you can see the filming crew and the shots aren't always properly framed. The quality of the picture varies between what was filmed with a real camera and what was filmed with Alexa's camcorder, which makes for a very uneven film. The audio balances weren't properly set either, so at points you have a hard time hearing what is said, and after turning up the volume to hear that, next the sound is blaring out in the next scene. For viewers that require decent sets, there was very little effort put into the sets seen here. Not that the film needs them, the ones that are present are more than adequate for this type of film.

The sex scenes each have the same setup, after some shots of the new talent, Jonathan Morgan does a short interview and then its off to the sex scene. The format works well here and the interview time gives a little break in between the scenes. The sex is good, all the new girls have plenty of energy that they put to good use. The males are all seasoned pros so there is no lack on their part either. The scenes are all different so the sex doesn't get monotonous either. The various sexual themes in this gonzo film are vaginal, oral and anal sex with DP and A2M.

The cast is decent looking with Aurora Snow being the stand out with the alluring innocent girl next door look. Zana and Rumika Powers get two scenes each and Scotti Andrews and Aurora Snow only get one each. I would have liked to have seen more of Scotti and definitely would have liked to see more of Aurora in the film. One note for fans of Alexa, she doesn't have sex with anyone in the film.

The Money Shot:
New Girls in Town is a decent gonzo film which I recommend for fans of the stars, nastier sex and gonzo films who don't mind lesser camera work/production values. Viewers who like decent sets, a plot and good camera work/production values will want to steer clear of this one. If you're curious, it's definitely worth a rental.
