Review:
A young woman’s single-minded quest to uncover the truth about a mother whom she has never known unwittingly leads her into the clutches of an elite sex club and its power-driven mastermind in “The New Behind the Green Door”, an exceptional flick from director Paul Thomas and Vivid Video. Indeed, under the weight of a shady, spendthrift boyfriend and her own personal obsessions, Brooklyn Lee finds her trust fund quickly evaporating…and with it her ability to support herself and survive. With her path set and betrayal and desperation on the horizon, she must make her choices—as difficult as they may be and regardless of where they may lead. Featuring a strong plot, extraordinary acting, authentic San Francisco settings, and a unique means of incorporating the original film of the early-1970’s, this production is simply one of the best adult features released in quite some time. Brooklyn Lee puts forth the acting performance of a lifetime, even rivaling those in the mainstream, and her sexual prowess is amply demonstrated. Indeed, if her work in “Voracious” put the crown upon her head, then consider this release its finest jewel. It is a fitting finish to a career all too short, yet supremely distinguished.
In terms of the sex, Scene One brings together Brooklyn Lee and her boyfriend, James Deen, for a Christmas morning romp that is both intense and impassioned. James’ present to Brooklyn is nothing other than a slim purple vibrator, and she seems content (enough) with it. Of course, the two need to give it…and one another…a test drive, and the action starts to roll. Things kick off on the couple’s sofa, with Brooklyn wearing nothing more than a flimsy white skirt.
