Michael Ninn is a director who is apparently known for shooting high-budget, stylized and artistic pornography. This is the first time I've seen any of his movies but I have seen a few of the "Innocence" series from his Ninn Worx line. This "Neo Pornographia" series is I guess supposed to represent a departure from Ninn's usual work, being much more "hardcore" than usual.

Whoever designed the box cover has neither knowledge of porn girls nor any aptitude whatsoever with the spelling of their names. "Jayna Oso" is credited as "Jayna Osa." We also get the talents of "Sandra Romaine" and "Julie Knight" to enjoy. In the most severe example of shoddy editing I've seen in a while, Ariana Jollee is credited as "Arianna J0lie." That's right, with a zero.

The movie is only three scenes but is spread out over two discs. As a bonus you get an hour-long edit of the first edition of "Neo Pornographia." The main feature is very artistic-looking. It's filmed from further away than most gonzo porn. It looks to be shot on film and is letterboxed (black bars on top and bottom of the screen). It feels like a regular feature film rather than a porn movie.

The picture quality is not what I would normally expect. It's grainy and the lighting is very yellow or orange, casting a weird tint all over everything. The set is pretty dark as well and much of the action on screen appears blurry. Maybe this is some kind of aesthetic effect by Mr. Ninn but I just didn't think it looked very good. The compression did not seem to be great either as things get even blurrier when they move quickly on screen. There are strange flickering lines in between the picture and the black letterboxing. It was almost reminiscent of the experience of watching a real movie on a big screen. There's numerous edits where the screen fades to black and then back to another view of the sexual action.

Scene 1: Nikki Hunter + Ariana Jollee and two guys

The disc opens with some eerie music playing in the background over the menus. Ariana Jollee is up first and she's a hot brunette who is very well known in the arena of hardcore gonzo porn. Nikki Hunter plays the narrator or something who presides and dominates over all the action. They're on a set which almost looks like a dark cave. Nikki sits at the back of the stage on a chair. "You think you're better? Better than all those fucking sluts?" Nikki asks her. "You're a fucking whore!" she tells Ariana. There's some loud verbal degradation between them to open the scene, if you are into that at all.

Ariana storms off the set. She wants to hit the guy too! The guy gets frustrated with the director. I can't believe Ninn left all of this stuff in the movie and it's kind of disturbing to watch, frankly. It provides some background for what's about to transpire though. Fade to black and back to Ariana blowing the same guy.

She does some rough oral with the guy and makes gagging noises as he roughly shoves his dick down her throat. The guys fuck her standing up and in cowgirl. She gets anal as well in reverse cowgirl while she's spouting dirty talk the whole time. Nikki attends to the other guy and yells stuff at them. I did feel like after I saw the promo cut there was no reason to buy the actual movie, though. You get a full hour of it here as bonus material.

The skin tones of the performers do not really look natural and the lighting is not bright and vivid. Colors are not vibrant and the picture does not 'pop' the way other movies do. It's because of the film grain and also the look Ninn was going for, I guess.

This is my only real complaint about the movie. I wish it looked better, sharper and less "artistic" because the hardcore action in the film is top-notch and intense, and not usually what I would expect from Ninn Worx. It's all a little obscured by creative editing, film effects and a distant, dreamy feel which was not conducive, in my opinion, to the filthy sex that's taking place. The movie is quite impressive though otherwise so it's well worth your time to give it a look especially if you are into rougher sex and verbal domination.
