My Plaything: Sabrine Maui Review

I don’t know about you, but this reviewer has pretty much heard it all before. It seems like every interactive sex simulator claims to be "the most advanced" or promises "the most realistic sexual encounter ever". That’s a pretty high bar to set for any company, but if that’s the claim that they want to make, then that’s the measuring stick they’re going to be judged by.

The company making the claim is Digital Sin. The series is "My Plaything". And the "plaything" of the moment is Sabrine Maui.

So I guess the first question is… who is Sabrine Maui? Seriously, who is she? Well we don’t really know. Of all of the options to include in an interactive DVD, you’d think that they would include something about WHO she is, right? If you’ve never heard of her before and you pick up this DVD, all you’ll know about her is that she’s a cute Asian girl with small breasts who seems to be willing to do whatever you tell her to do.

You start out with Sabrine in three different settings and outfits telling you in a rotating montage what she wants you to do to her. There’s the "naughty schoolgirl" outfit of a tight white shirt, red skirt, knee-high white socks, and black shoes. Then we see her in a black lace bra, and matching black panties, stockings, and garter belt. And then there’s her wearing a white bra, matching panties, and a translucent robe.

The menu interface is pretty smooth. Choices up on top, with Sabrine in the middle talking dirty for you. The choices on the main menu are Tease, Masturbate, Foreplay, Sex, and Bonus. Selecting each (with the exception of Bonus) will give you a nice preview or teaser from Sabrine, and if you don’t go any further than that, she’ll give you a nice show. Once you get into the sections themselves, you have the sub-menus just below Sabrine so they’re not in the way. The nice/naughty option also appears on top.

Tease – This was something of a disappointment. Despite the claims on the box, Sabrine does not strip. Rather, all she does is show off her breasts, her pussy, or her ass. This is all done while she’s in her schoolgirl outfit, and she doesn’t get out of it at all.

Masturbate – The teaser scene is with Sabrine in her white lingerie, but once she gets into the actual masturbation, she’s completely naked. You can have her play with herself with either her fingers (and she’ll actually stick four of them inside), with a dildo, or with a dildo in her butt. The part I really like about this is the "Cum on Q" feature, which shows her having an orgasm.

Foreplay – The teaser on this one is Sabrine in the black lingerie, but again, once the action starts, she’s naked except for the garter belt and stockings. The "tongue" scene is pretty much Sabrine grinding away with her pussy just outside the camera’s view and pretending to ride "your" face. It’s all just acting there, and she does put on an okay show. The scenes where you stick "your" fingers or a dildo inside of her is better. Again, you can have her "Cum on Q" in these scenes.

Sex – The teaser is her just in the black garter belt and stocking, which she has on in every scene except for the blowjob, which for some reason was done when they did the "Masturbate" section. In addition to the standard three positions (missionary, doggie, and cowgirl), there are also two anal positions (missionary and cowgirl). And then, of course there’s the blowjob. In each position, the "Cum on Q" will have "you" cum, not her… and with the exception of the blowjob scene, they’re all computer-added. Trust me, you can tell the difference between the fake cum and the real one.

Each scene is okay… pretty standard length for each clip. But there is one little thing that stands out… when you return to Main Menu, the teaser scene changes to reflect whatever option you just came from. In other words, when you come back from the "Tease" segment, Sabrine is still wearing the schoolgirl outfit. When you come back from the "Masturbate" scene, she’s still naked and playing with herself. Come back from the "Sex" scene and she tells you how great it was. Yes, there actually is an aftermath scene!

There is no "teaser" video for the bonus section. In there, you have a behind-the-scenes video, a photo gallery, DVD credits, six trailers for other "My Plaything" videos, and six trailers for other New Sensations videos. Again, I wish they threw in something about who Sabrine is, but still this is more than the usual that gets put in the bonus section.

If I were to just comparing this to other interactive sex simulators, I would have to say that "My Plaything – Sabrine Maui" is good. The differences between naughty and nice modes should have been more distinct. The sex scenes were okay, and at least you could SEE the girl and not just a certain body part. Unlike VCA’s "Fantasex" series, there are no hoops to jump through to get to all of the action.

However, while this reviewer really appreciated seeing an aftermath scene of some sort in this DVD, the "tease" part left way too much to be desired. Having three different scenes with three different settings and three different outfits for the same session was also a bit annoying. I wouldn’t mind, though, if you could choose which outfit/setting she would be in. Sure it would take more time to do, but it would be worth it. Or just pick one scene/outfit and stick with it.

As far as comparing the DVD with what they promise on the box… well they are sorely lacking in that regard. There is no stripping, there is no "Random Response Generator", it’s not "highly interactive" POV sex, and it certainly does not provide "the most realistic sexual encounter ever".

These companies should really pay close attention to the claims that they’re putting on the box.

Still, I have to give Digital Sin some credit for coming up with a pretty good sex simulator, especially one that has the girl cumming more times than the guy.
