My Plaything: Gauge Review

This is the second My Plaything title that I have seen; the first being Monica Sweetheart, and while I was quite excited with the concept when I first opened the container for Monica, Gauge left me, frankly, a little bored.

Now, this has very little to do with Gauge herself. Not only is Gauge a very cute girl (not really beautiful perhaps, but certainly very cute) but she's a tremendous sex performer. Whereas Monica was a gorgoeous woman whose sexual performance was a bit lacking, Gauge gives almost everything she has in every scene. She Teases wonderfully, she Masturbates quite well, gives an incredibly passionate Sex performance, and while she receives a tongue, finger and vibrator awkwards from a phantom man (not her fault) she sucks on his cock as if it held the secret of life. She even rides the Sybian in the bonus section with a great deal of passion. My only complaint with Gauge is that her "acting" in the menu scenes ("oh, I've never felt like that before") feels one hundred percent fake without any of the enthusiasm she gives in her sexual performance.

My complaint with My Plaything is not one with Guage but with the design of the product. When you boil everything down, what do you get with My Plaything? You get one sex scene that's repeated over and over and over again. Yes, you get to pick the method in which the positions are put together, but you can't change the fact that there is only sex scenario; the little cheerleader fucking whoever in the locker room. And while, yes, there is a great deal of difference in Gauge's performance between the Nice Cheerleader and the Naughty little slut, it still feels very repeatitive.
The only way to correct this problem, in my opinion, is to give at least one more sex scenario per My Plaything title. The easiest way to do that is to make one scenario for the nice girl and one for the naughty girl. For Guage, that could have been the innocent schoolgirl in the classroom (where she is for Tease and only Tease) for the nice girl and the Naughty slutty cheerleader in the locker room (the current sex scenario). This would not require any additional room on the DVD, though it might cost more from the talent as while I'm not asking that they actually have more sex, but a shift in location is probably more expensive than simply shooting longer on one set.

With that being said, the extras of this title are rather nice, including a Massage section in the bonus area in which "you" can rub her breasts or even her feet. There are also 8 trailers for up-coming work.

For a $25-30 DVD, My Plaything still has a way to go before it can show that it's worth that price. $30 is far too much for one sex scene, no matter how in control you are. As for Gauge, I certainly hope to see more of her in the future, the lovely little nymph. I just would have liked to have seen more of her in this title.
